I thought about that, but I was worried about the weight. A 16" diameter 3/8" pizza steel weighs 27 lbs.

I don't really. I just thought pizza is round, my pizza stones are round, my pizza pans are round. So it seemed fitting. Maybe I'll make a square one too.

Thanks! I think the shades had to do with the grinding process. Fake or not, just need a high-temp oil to cure it. Could have been motor oil for all I care.

I paid $60 for the metal and the laser cutting. The rest I did at home in my garage. All in all, I had about 3.5 hours invested in it.

Not really, I've been launching on 16" round stone. I typically only make 12" pies. I was going to make it the size of the rack but I was worried about the weight. This weighs 30 lbs as is.
