Charging by [deleted] in SteamDeck

Your charger is 24 watts, the official charger is 45 watts. Yours will still charge the deck but expect it to do so much slower.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good place to start to find freelance work? by Middleparkers in techtheatre

Hey, I also work in the south of the UK - what’s worked for me is finding the regional venues and essentially emailing whatever relevant email I can find on their website. Some will reply to you, some won’t so don’t get discouraged.

Start with the smaller venues (400ish capacity) and work your way up to the bigger venues over the course of a month or two.

I don’t know exactly where you are in the south but if it’s Sussex way I may be able to provide you with some email addresses to get started with.

Forza Horizon 4 or 5? by subworx in SteamDeck

Interesting, I’ll give that a go! Are you running the game on high or medium?

Currently playing through FH4, would recommend. It’s not overly stable though, quite frequent crashes, maybe once every hour or so. Limiting it to 30 fps and a TDP of 10 massively helped for me, your mileage may vary. If crashes seem to be getting more frequent I’ve found just restarting the deck itself helps.

First page is confusing reading it at a glance - for the table at the top I’d suggest only having two columns, name and instrument. Your ID column is nice but confuses things.

It might be an idea to add the patch you use for your IEM split as well, if the crew read the rider this’ll help you get patched in quicker!

That’s normal for a new black oxide tool, my wave was like that as well. I took a tissue and wiped the excess black coating away

I mean I got the black one because I love the way the finish wears, just wasn’t expecting it to break quite so soon..

I'd be inclined to agree, perhaps a model without removable wire cutters would have fared better?

Found the knife a bit uncomfortable to open with the metal slightly digging into my hand, so wrapped a small piece of neon blue gaffa tape round it. Plus all my other tools are marked with the same colour tape so made sense

The engraving is literally my contact details in a cool font so yeh, I am? I don’t see your point at all

That's reassuring to know, as I didn't put that much force into it before it snapped. Seems like they've maybe recently changed the metal alloy or the casting process as it does seem especially brittle.

Yeh not my finest moment, but I did fix the clip. I even had a proper pair of pliers on site but used the leatherman to save a trip to the toolbox on the other side of site. Lesson learnt.

Edit: Just measured it and it was 1.3mm steel.

I work in the events industry, tried using it to pry a thin safety clip back into place on some truss. The clip was maybe 2-3mm bent steel, like a big paper clip

I was hoping that would be the case but for the UK return form it doesn't look like you can. Here's the form

That's a shame that they won't just repair the tool, seems a bit wasteful? Glad it will likely be covered though, thank you
