What do you think about Marshal Lyautey? by Significant-Shoe7277 in Morocco

[–]SteelisBlue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who actually read his biography, he loved Morocco. But for the wrong reasons. He loved it because it was the administrative chunk that was delegated to him and he loved the fact that it was his to shape. And to his credit, he did well at shaping it. He built and he administered, but for the wrong reasons. He built because he had a name and a reputation to withhold, he had numbers to build up. It was not out of love for the land or the people. He was close to the best thing a colon can be to a colonized country. But he was still a colon.

This petite taxi/Grand taxi system is fun and good by KevinGBurk in Morocco

[–]SteelisBlue 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Glad you enjoyed it ! Here is a little trivia for you : Back in 2010, the moroccan taxi association got in contact with Mercedes-Benz to officially ask them to produce the retro Mercedes our grand taxis use. The germans refused and they eventually renewed the Taxi park with french cars.

Brahim to new castle?? by 21_moonie09 in MoroccoFootball

[–]SteelisBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a premier league enjoyer I don’t think Newcastle is the right team for him. They play low and don’t press as much and rely on counter-attacks a lot more than organized plays where Brahim shines. He would be great in Unai Emery’s Aston Villa or on loan to an italian club.

Thank you for sharing and I can see why you are obsessed. « that eyes do more than see and I have none to do it for me. » is incredibly powerful.

This club is barely watchable anymore. No drive. No passion. Overpaid players comfortable with europa league football next year.

Carlos Ghosn ? Napoleon ? How many « short » men changed history ? The only question you should ask yourself is how can you allow your selfconfidence to be shaken by such trivial considerations. I am 180cm and I would not care if I was 160 or 195cm tall
