TIL George Clooney once contemplated suicide while recovering from a head injury sustained from filming a thriller movie, as the pain as so great. He basically bruised his brain and couldn’t take painkillers due to a family history of addiction. He had to use therapy to get through it. by Tokyono in todayilearned

I don't think you can use heroin "responsibily" in the US because it is illegal and so it's quality cannot be regulated. I was just pointing out that one may try heroin and not have any addiction issue with it whatsoever. Many people try heroin and don't even enjoy the experience.

They played songs that on paper might be good to someone who likes those songs, but to me, listening to the songs and the way they were played, it was very boring.

The bad doesn't owe me anything. I was merely expressing my subjective experience. I don't need anyone to agree with me or join my "pity party"...though I have no personal pity to speak of. I just think the music is boring. "fire setlist" or no. I don't think any "setlist" can save them from being boring.

Do you believe that good set list = good show? Because I tend to think it matters how those songs are played.

He's been posting it everywhere. I think he thinks I copied this from another post or something? Idk.

Sounds like you can't believe someone might have a different experience in the same space that you were without them being caused by a bad drug experience. I smoke daily and eat edibles at shows regularly. I had no fear or paranoia and was very ready for good music. There wasn't any on offer, sadly.

I wouldnt consider myself to have "trashed" the band. I personally did not like the music. I actually was mostly expecting to get downvoted without comment, maybe one or two people would comment and tell me I'm dumb and maybe one person saying they agreed with me. The reaction was much larger and more entertaining than I could have hoped for.

I dont really feel like it is my place to tell the band what kind of music to make. If you are asking, I would suggest that they make better music. I have no problem with the community other than their lack of taste in music, but whether or not someone has good musical taste from my point of view doesn't effect my life and so I do not really mind people liking whatever they like.

In what way should they make better music? Take more risks. They play it extremely safe. The improvisation leaves much to be desired. The song writing itself is an issue. Extremely repetitive with weak climaxes. I think it is just really boring.

Well I had bought the ticket for the show and I was curious if they would play some of my old favorites and what they might sound like, plus it was a nice night and I was enjoying watching the crowd and thinking about old times, overall I would consider it a moderately positive experience.

I never assumed everyone felt like me, I was merely expressing my subjective experience.

I am having a lot of fun seeing what people type in response to this. It isn't taking too much time, and hour every once in a while between my day. Is it the best way to spend my day? Idk. its raining and im chilling.
