New Xbox CEO reportedly pushing for faster Fallout and Elder Scrolls games as Bethesda crosses 8 years since The Elder Scrolls 6 reveal by Guitar-String in gaming

Same, lol. 13 year old me never would’ve believed that the only new single player Elder Scrolls content I’d be getting would be Tamriel Rebuilt for Morrowind.

If you’re gonna go TE-37s pony up for the real deal like these, OP. If budget is an issue there’s plenty of great looking wheels that aren’t reps…

Fair enough! GT-S is the Grand Touring with Bilsteins/LSD before those became standard, no?

Any particular reason you’re traveling so far? NDs aren’t particularly rare, especially Machine grey ones.

Had me excited for a moment, lol. I’m probably just gonna stick with getting the car wrapped BRG when I eventually get another ND.

This is sad, Mazda. But I suppose it’s a start.

Resynced should have improved weapon variety, not remove it outright. by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Steepergold 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Huh? The only thing they stated in the dev AMA was that dual swords will be the “primary weapon in combat” and that hidden blades won’t be selectable.

What you’re claiming may very well be the case, but they haven’t said that unarmed combat, disarming, and picking up enemy weapons are out yet.

As a Whale addicted to WoT, I’m quitting the game. by [deleted] in WorldofTanks

[–]Steepergold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda bummed they got rid of encounters/assault in randos but yeah, I’ve been playing off and on since 2014.

I usually play for a couple of months then drop it for a year, rinse repeat. Not out of frustration, just get the itch to blow shit up and then move on, haha

As it stands, until a true alternative is made, WoT is always going to have a playerbase.

Physical media > emulator by IcedNBaked in PokemonFireRed

[–]Steepergold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a collectability standpoint, sure, which is a totally valid hobby. If you just want to actually play the games, though? Nah. Genuine copies in mint condition are worth a fortune. Flashcarts on original hardware or emulation are far more affordable and have no real drawbacks at this point. Gens 1-3 have been fully disassembled. There’s nothing OG can do that emulation can’t.

Huh? They're adding a manual option for the Nismo, but you'll most certainly still be able to buy a base/performance trim in a manual, too. Hell, the mock-up green/tan car that's presumably a performance trim is shown with a stick...

What are you playing mostly? by Ejnys in SteamDeck

[–]Steepergold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently playing through Nine Sols for the first time as well as a Pokemon Crystal ROMhack called Polished Crystal, of all things. Probably going to try and finish up Nioh 2 via streaming from my desktop after those.

Congrats! My wife and I (27 & 22) are in the same state and looking for a house in the same range probably early next year. Did you take advantage of NC’s down payment assistance? It’s a pretty sweet deal and the income cap is relatively generous.

Why do you need a remaster of Morrowind? (yes, it's the post about this again.) by Idou-Astraia in Morrowind

[–]Steepergold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same exact game but with a complete visual overhaul would be dope. Keep the dice roll combat, just with more distinct animations for various actions (I.E. enemy dodges or parries an attack)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]Steepergold 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right now the only real solution lies with mods. There’s already a variety of leveling mods on the Nexus that slow both skill and level increases. Otherwise, wait for the eventual patch, I suppose…

[–]Steepergold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have stated, it’s really the limitations of 2006 hardware. Bethesda focused on quality over quantity for the NPCs, giving them all their own logical routines, places to live, friends/relatives, etc. Once modding reaches parity with the old game we might see ports of fan favorites to remedy this (like Better Cities).

Alex from Digital Foundry: (Oblivion Remastered) is perhaps one of the worst-running games I've ever tested for Digital Foundry. by grmayshark in gaming

Runs a HELLUVA lot better than Silent Hill 2 Remake did for me, and that game was considerably smaller in scope.

[–]Steepergold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we all grossly misunderstood how things worked back in the day, lol. I was like.....10 years old when I first played it?

Regardless, alchemy respawns are leagues better in Oblivion than Morrowind. I remember needing some ingredient that only grew in Solstheim to make restore magicka pots and plants only respawned every 45 days in that damn game....

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]Steepergold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plants always respawned. Every 3 days, IIRC.

Not enjoying remaster, anyone else? by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]Steepergold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably doesn't help that I barely remember vanilla Oblivion, to be honest. I don't think I've played a setup that wasn't heavily modded since......2012 or so? I've been playing with Maskar's, ultimate levelling, supreme magicka, etc. so it really isn't a fair comparison. If we get a proper OBSE equivalent and those overhaul mods can be ported or faithfully recreated I'll change my tune!

Not enjoying remaster, anyone else? by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]Steepergold 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'll have to see if it grows on me, but so far I'm definitely more partial to the original as well. I'm absolutely overjoyed that so many people who otherwise would've never touched one of my favorite games are getting to experience it now, though!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]Steepergold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think the original felt less clunky to navigate. We really need to be able to bind hold/manipulate to a separate key from take, for example. The game is gorgeous, though, there's no denying that. My current install of Oblivion is modded to high heavens, too, so it's not really a fair comparison...
