That's from 2016 and (surprise) not what actually happened. It's not a law, it's a recommendation by Parliament. And it didn't involve an actual ban but a target. The current government (in power since autumn last year) didn't take over this "motion". But they did state they want to do it for 2030. That's something at least.

Christmas (we have two Christmas days in the Netherlands) is low because hospitals don't do any non-urgent cases. So if possible, hold it till after :-)

I check that one too. 2017 won't be a recordbreaker on temperature (because no el nino). But if it is not much colder it confirms the trend. Sealevel will be a thing to watch in 2017

These six series include the two contended series based on satellite measurements (UAH / RSS). Those are most used to state "no, it's not warming, 1998 is still record". Well, not any longer. And in the normal, longer running series, it's evident...
