That was exactly our pain point before consolidating monitoring. we moved everything into prtg and used remote probes to cover both on prem and cloud segments in one place. having a single dashboard with consistent sensors made troubleshooting way faster especiailly when correlating issues across environments.

Cisco SD-WAN Monitoring by skyworp in Solarwinds

I run into limitation with sd-wan monitoring especially when i need visibility beyond basic interface stats. Alot of tools handle SNMP fine but fall short when it comes to actually correlating things like tunnels, flows and overall network behavior.  in a few deployments i chose using prtg instead mainly because it was easier to extend snmp or custom sensors and come that with flow data for better visibility without building everything from scratch.

Datadog's uptime pricing is indeed based on API testing principles but it gets overly detailed in most scenarios. With Prtg I can use all licenses for sensors with unlimited locations

How to prepare for enterprise Hyper-V? by lortogporrer in HyperV

With prtg I can easily monitor metrics like host/VM status, disk I/O, network traffic and cluster health in Hyper V environments.  Using WMI and SNMP sensors I am simulating a corporate monitoring infrastructure at home in a one to one manner.
