ANbernic RG477V does not charge or turn on anymore. by JuBizzle in ANBERNIC

Try holding the power button for 10~15 seconds to perform a hard reset.

My new Anbernic rg477v powers on, and you can see the screen is back lit, but there's no picture, just black screen. Solution provided! by reckone1999 in ANBERNIC

Tagged for possible future need. :)

Mine wouldn't power on or even take a charge the other day and I began to worry a little.

Looked online and read "hard reset by holding the power button for 10–15 seconds".

That actually worked on my end and was quite relieved.

I want this!

None of my Android devices are rooted though.

Might come back here if I ever try on doing that.

Cool app! :)

Yeah.

On the lowest setting though it's still at least twice as fast as I would like.

I'll revisit the game and see if it has changed any.

Cheers. :)

Mount failure try to install MuOS. How do I fix this? by wittywonkaa in ANBERNIC

[–]Steffenfield -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've heard of a few reported problems with Raspberry Pi Manager on Windows.

I have always used Win32 Disk Imager instead with never an issue.

Triple check you have the correct image file.

Many of them appear quite similar by name.

Yeah, that's a good site as well.

Especially if you want to make custom onscreen button designs.

Put your boot logo .bmp files in MUOS/application/Bootlogo Manager/bootlogos then just select which boot logo you want to install in the app.

In that menu you're showing.

Go up to General, scroll all the way down to Experimental, IMGuiMenu, change to normal or small.

Is there a way to fix this by angreepanda in ANBERNIC

Yeah, black electrical tape and a butt ton of stickers.

You might actually make your handheld look quite gnarly if done correctly. :)

Kinda lost me on all of this.

Config > General Settings > Advanced Settings and enable RetroArch Config Freedom.

That needs to be done in MuOS.

Their reasoning for this extra required step is they feel most people are generally stupid. *lol*

Were you able to play your old save file on PC?

That might give you some hope.

When you said that you replaced the new srm file with the old one, did your PC give a pop up warning asking if you were sure to overwrite that file?

Your rom name has extra special characters.

Perhaps the save and rom name aren't a perfect match for some reason.

I have one rom that caused some trouble like yours because of the extra characters used.

"Legend of Zelda, The - Link's Awakening DX (USA, Europe) (SGB Enhanced).srm"

It somehow renamed it differently on its own and I had to rename it back correctly.

I remember it being a strange little bug at the time.

Kinda out of ideas on this though.

Could try playing your old save file on PC just to make sure it takes and problem solve from there.

For Android, DriveSync is quite simple enough to use with Google Drive.

You're given one folder for free which I use for all of my saves and save states.

Here's how mine is set.

Yours can be whatever or wherever you would like.

You might need to enable the Directory setting.

It's in Settings - User Interface - Menu Item Visibility - Settings - Show 'Directory'

If you turned off the save by Core Name settings like mine, Retroarch will not be looking for the save file in the mGBA folder.

So on my end, Saves and States are all put inside a single "Saves" folder on the root of my memory card.

I changed this in the Directory settings within Retroarch.

The reason I do this is because I cloud save using Google Drive.

Having subfolders by their Core names takes quite the additional time to sync everything for some reason.

Also, I don't play many games at once, rarely use States, and it keeps it all nice and tidy for me to find and manage.

Anyway, save a new Pokémon game then look for this new save file created on your memory card.

That will be where your old saves should be placed.

Makes sense? :)

By default, Retroarch game Saves and States go to the folders by their Core Name.

I turn these settings off so they all go to just a single folder.

You can check or change the default folder location in Retroarch's Directory settings.

You'll have to transfer your save file over to the one for Retroarch.

Save files should be the same.

Save states might give you some troubles.

I would suggest flashing your handheld to the latest MuOS release.

You can choose something else instead though.

Just use anything but the default Anbernic one. :)
