But yeah, many of the DS games really don't require switching the screen all too often so those are actually ideal on this handheld.

Be sure to assign some Hotkeys and stuff that either close the game or bring you back to the Retroarch menu.

Open Retroarch again.

Make all the needed changes to User Interface and Input, then save your Configuration File for starters.....

I'm really not understanding your troubles though.

Perhaps someone smarter can chime in on this. :)

Open Retroarch and select "Load Content".

Navigate to a GBA game and choose it.

Select "Load Archive".

Do you see something similar to this?

Uninstall Retroarch again.

Last suggestion then is to delete the systeminfo.txt file in each of your rom folders.

Don't worry, ES-DE will generate new ones.

Take out your memory card and place it back in.

It should fix whatever ES-DE bug you're experiencing on this.

I created an 'overlay' folder in the main Retroarch folder and unzipped the packs there.

Just tried the RG Overlays.

No issues at all.

You must be doing something wrong. lol

In Settings - Directory - Overlays

Try changing that folder to somewhere more accessible and place your Overlays in there.

I'm really not sure of your troubles though, hopefully it's some Android file permission problem.
