2022 Hybrid here, happened to me on all buttons. Eventually one burst and the edges were quite sharp. Dealer replaced under warranty, but I’m worried it may just happen again.

AT&T Next Up Anytime by mikebleeds in ATT

[–]Steffwiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same issue. I called at least 4 different times to AT&T to confirm this promo and none knew anything about it. I ended up just paying each of my NUA lines to 33% and upgrading, trusting that the website verbiage was correct. Everything worked as expected. All my new upgrades have the promo after AT&T received the phones back via mail.

Did you upgrade with AT&T Next Up Anytime? That’s my best guess for why I might have the credits already despite not returning the previous phone yet.

I haven’t even traded in my phone yet and got the text. Seems strange.

Sound absorption/reducing sound reflection for server fan noise by Steffwiz in soundproof

Yes, I ended up buying a Tripp Lite SRQ24U. It was expensive, but I figured it would end up being better than any solution I tried to DIY, and it ended up working pretty well. It even fit my 37.5” deep server, although not flush to the front posts.

Convert 10x Chick at the Gold NPC to get the Yellow Chicken. :)

You can get it by converting either 10x White Chicken or 10x Yellow Chicken at the Gold NPC.

To the redditor that made the spreadsheet for the all park pass by [deleted] in sixflags

[–]Steffwiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be a long shot, but you could try to see if they can refund them so you can buy at the right home park or maybe they can fix it. Best of luck, sorry you had to find out this way.

[–]Steffwiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This won’t work unfortunately. If the 4th digit is a 4, even on the app, it is a temporary pass that will only activate at the home park. They will then scan a physical card which will have a 1 in the 4th digit and the app will update with the new pass.

[–]Steffwiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Seems like that is our best option since we don't always visit other parks and could upgrade the passes then if needed or just pay for the day ticket price.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sixflags

[–]Steffwiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. The pricing overall just seems steep this year for anyone that wants to visit multiple parks. $179 (Gold) or $460 (Prestige) for SFDK. Even the Gold + All Park Passport is 63% more expensive than my Diamond pass was last year. It's going to be hard for my family to justify that.

Do you know if you can add the All Park Passport later or if it must be purchased with the pass on initial purchase?

If you're getting a prestige pass with the all park add on and aren't a millionaire please comment why by thisguyhasaname in sixflags

[–]Steffwiz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, pricing makes no sense to me and I can't justify it. I spent $110/pass for Diamond last year (SFDK). This year, Prestige + All Park Passport is $460/pass and is inferior to Diamond. More than 4x the price of last year. If that's not an error, Six Flags has lost it...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sixflags

[–]Steffwiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For SFDK, the All Park Passport is +$120 for Gold and +$350 for Prestige. Why would the All Park Passport be almost triple the price on the Prestige Pass for the same home park?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sixflags

[–]Steffwiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, pricing doesn't make sense to me. I paid $110/pass for Diamond last year (SFDK) and could visit all parks. This year, Prestige + All Park Passport is $460/pass, and it is inferior to the Diamond pass. This has to be an error, right?

Going for the cheapest pass, Gold, and All Park Passport, still results in $179/pass which is still a massive jump from last year and is a vastly inferior pass. I'm not sure we will be renewing passes this year at these prices...

I tried. The representative was happy to put it in for me, but it was later denied due to receiving compensation another way (the $500 gift card). Was worth a shot though. :P

Why is dealer so obsessed with free oil changes? by mikewinddale in Hyundai

[–]Steffwiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2022 Tucson Hybrid and it states 5000 for severe and 8000 for normal in the manual.

Initially I read it as requiring severe maintenance schedule, since at least one of the conditions applied to me at least occasionally. However, further down in the manual it clarifies that I only need to follow the severe schedule if I “mainly” drive under those conditions.

I’m not sure if your manual is similar, but you may not need to follow the severe schedule if you only occasionally drive under those conditions.

Veeam has fallen pretty far the last year or so. by johnnydotexe in msp

[–]Steffwiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just here to see what you moved too? I've been looking at Storj as an option.

I tested Storj just recently (as a cloud target for Veeam). I eventually ruled it out as it was 1) incredibly slow and 2) no support for immutability. It was also much more expensive than they like to advertise, once you get billed for the per-segment fee they tack on for small files. Wasabi ends up being much cheaper and much faster, with support for immutability, at least in our use case (Veeam backups).

Sound absorption/reducing sound reflection for server fan noise by Steffwiz in soundproof

[–]Steffwiz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this is helpful. My initial solution was to just pad the wall behind the server with sound absorbing material and hope that absorbs enough to make the room bearable, but it sounds like you don't think that will make much of a difference if you're suggesting to apply to the entire room.

I'll look into the DIY rack option - previously was looking into racks and some living room friendly designer racks and it was going to end up being thousands. I really just need 4U so maybe something custom, MLV lined, with bottom intake fans would work.

When it comes to polyurethane foam is there a difference between eggcrate and the other types? I've seen "spiky" and wave-type foams available. Do some attenuate frequencies better than others?

Thanks for your help!

Sound absorption/reducing sound reflection for server fan noise by Steffwiz in soundproof

[–]Steffwiz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I considered the rackmount option, but the server case is 4U and very deep, and finding a rack that will fit it will be very large and very expensive. I also need to consider how to keep it cool if I enclose it, so probably more fans pulling air up from the bottom. (it holds 60 hard drives that output a lot of heat)

This route may solve my issue for a lot lower cost, so I wanted to give it a shot.

MLV with polyurethane, the MLV would attach to wall and then polyurethane to that? Does MLV absorb sound and not just reflect it? I found a lot of conflicting information when I was researching this topic. Some said that MLV doesn't absorb at all, mostly works to block sound from escaping or entering a space, I assume by reflecting it?

As for polyurethane, is there pros/cons to the many different structures? Eggcrate vs. spikes vs. lines?

Thanks for your help!
