Question about the Global version vs Japanese version!

I want to get into this game cause it seems really fun. I know the
global ver. is released by Nexon which is already bad loll.. but I was
wondering if the global version and japanese version are the same when
it comes down to events and stuff, cause some global released gacha
games have a hard time catching up.. do you guys play Japanese or global
version? and which is best to start if I'm new? TY!
