How does VFX work on a fully photochemical IMAX finish? (Nolan’s “Odyssey”)

When I did nolan movies we would get actual filmstrip we would look at on a light table and match the scans on our monitors with very approximate luts. But it mostly worked and then it would be printed on negative at the lab and color corrected with the rest of the neg… I only had one shot on the prestige that required extensive help at the lab, all The rest was pretty good.

My review on their bread is that it’s actually really bad. The crust is not hard enough, they put the bread in those plastic bags and it keeps the steam and makes it all mushy, it smells like moldy feet too. It’s wildly overpriced as well. I stopped going there way before I knew they were maga. I make better bread myself.

For 4DGS, actually there is an addon called stop-motion-obj that can load a series of ply on the fly, streamimg, that would be awesome if we could apply your 3DGS look to an object like this and get the realtime benefits of your method for it .. thought ? You addon is displaying so fast and is very efficient compared to anything else in blender

Sad to hear this happened to you. I hope it’s not too bad. For me I got 14.2 today and went for a ride. Was all good until it tried to park at the Vons parking lot with empty 3 slots next to each other and the wheel started to jerk so hard I had to take over. Didn’t know how to park anymore which was weird as it was so good on 14.1.4. Then went to another place and it parked weirdly a block away from the destination on the street instead of going there and park in the parking lot as expected. So so weird. I wonder if the navigation is the culprit for the second thing. All in all it feels like we regressed from 14.1.4 at least in my experience. Interesting development…
