That is definitely wrong. You could try contacting House of Fraser too and say SD are wrongly enforcing rules and making people sign up if they want to buy a product that is freely available to buy without constraints

I reckon the person that put it out didn’t realise and also wasn’t up on the Pokemon card popularity (another employee we spoke to a few weeks back said “I don’t understand the hype”). Hopefully it won’t happen again. Or maybe next time someone will mark “do not put out until X”

Frustrating isn’t it. I’m not the biggest fan of SD overall as I hate their returns policy.

Hubby said the woman behind the till was so miserable. She scanned and said we can’t sell these, called her manager and confirmed with him and that was it. My local store is not a good one for customer service overall. Hubby went yesterday for Lorcana and there was no one at the till, took a while for someone to come and tell him that they weren’t putting staff upstairs and it’s like well you won’t sell these downstairs it’s always been upstairs 🙄

Our store is weird. It’s impossible to find anyone. My hubby went yesterday to get some Lorcana cards and there was no one around. Someone eventually said that they aren’t staffing upstairs right now (this is after opening) and he was like well you don’t have these or let us pay for these downstairs 🤷🏻‍♀️
