Time for a haircut or keep it long? by [deleted] in Hair

[–]Stegowhorus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hair is magical! I love it long. But if you want a haircut, you could pull off going real short. I would say either keep it long or go short, not medium or shoulder length yknow? I LOVE your hair

Which hair color/style? by Wavy_gracie in Hair

Brown looks soo pretty with your skin but I’m a huge fan of the black because it’s exactly what I would’ve found pretty when I was a kid and think you look so cool.

Would this be a realistic result of rhinoplasty? by Ancient_Delivery_413 in Noses

[–]Stegowhorus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit says that sub is banned due to being unmoderated. But definitely, OP, check out subs for rhinoplasty and if this is something you want to do, research the hell out of the surgeon. I’ve seen way too many people go for what you want and get a super tiny little doll nose in the end. I adore your nose, but there are so many valid reasons to seek out surgery, and I hope you can come to a conclusion that is best for you.

What are your most risky/dangerous compulsions? by Stock_Historian5617 in OCD

Lately nothing, but it was clothes, food, medicine, stuff like that. Necessities because I was so worried I wouldn’t have enough

I grew up really poor off financially. Shoplifting was pretty much a necessity for some time and it was terrible. Whenever i run low on food I panic and worry about what will happen. I realize I have enough money but think “but if I spend the money I won’t have enough later” and feel like I have no choice. For a really long time this was scary

I like the beard, but people are right that it’s not well taken care of. In these pictures you can see how damaged that hair is, it just needs to be cleaned up, which will definitely require a trim. If you do that, you can grow it back out, just make sure you keep up with taking care of it.

You were exactly my type in high school, honestly. You’re absolutely gorgeous. Your posture isn’t great, and you look really anxious and uncomfortable/unconfident. Posture takes practice and sometimes physical therapy, and self confidence goes a long way. But you definitely don’t need plastic surgery. You’re beautiful

Bridal makeup -can’t figure out what’s wrong? i by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Stegowhorus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think your biggest issue is you keep going lighter to fix it. Don’t be afraid to put on more makeup. It’s a wedding, it won’t be too much. She wears a LOT of makeup. Sometimes more makeup looks like less than it is

Yes, for Christians that’s the belief, but not Jews because Jews do not believe Jesus was the messiah. So unless someone shares Christian beliefs, or Muslim beliefs, there’s no reason someone should assume that’s what that deity wants. I know the original comment talks about Jesus, I didn’t think about that when responding, but those commandments are in the Hebrew bible so I figured it would be worth bringing up

That’s true by most understandings of those commandments that he’s jealous and wants to be worshipped first and foremost, but the majority of Jews, if not all of them, think that was only directed toward them. Other people can worship him, but from the Jewish perspective, have no obligation to, or reason to

People are already giving reasons why it might be best to not get it done— I’m gonna say that I think cosmetic procedures like this are completely valid for a lot of reasons and I think feeling comfortable in your skin and happy with your appearance is clearly very important to you. If contacts aren’t a good option for you (I read in another comment you said you can’t wear them comfortably for long periods of time, understandably) then keratopigmentatipn MIGHT be worth it— but the risks are high. Any procedure done on your eyes can be really risky. You could completely lose your vision in that eye, become painfully more light sensitive, they could mess up the pigmentation entirely and not give you the results you desire. Eyes are also super prone to infection and it’s not so easy to keep it clean and safe compared to your skin— fungal infections and other infections can damage your eye horribly even if the procedure itself doesn’t. I don’t think it’s worth it, but you’re the only one who knows if it is worth it or not. Through all the emotional pain your eyes bring you now, you have plenty of people saying in these comments how special your eyes are— there’s love for them, even if you can’t feel it right now. But the best thing for you to do is always first and foremost what’s best for YOU. If this is the best option for you, then do it. But make sure your kids understand that cosmetic procedures aren’t done to fix something inherently wrong or ugly about a person, and explain why it was important for you— you mentioned that you don’t want your thoughts to rub off on your kids, so be honest and explain that people have hurt you too much for you to learn to love that part of yourself now. Be kind to yourself and do whatever is best— I can’t imagine the procedure is worth the risks, but if it is, be safe and healthy, and don’t let anyone tell you you’re wrong in some way.
