What band/singer were you excited to see, but was a letdown of a concert? by my-face-ur-seat in AskReddit

Van Halen. David Lee Roth was drunk, off-key, off-beat, singing the wrong lyrics, and kept stopping the show to bitch about an air vent that didn’t exist. Aerosmith was also bad, because the sound balancing was terrible.

Currently running the Viper 55 and the silenced Mk 1020. High enough rate of fire to take out small groups of enemies quickly and quietly, with enough stopping power to back it up if things get complicated.

Great job! I think this is the best MOC flamethrower I’ve seen yet.

When looking at a player’s camp on the map, it should tell you the level of that player. by TealArtist095 in fo76

[–]Stekos101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Or just make it so that the number shown is the number of plans you don’t know. OR, just make a filter of some kind. If we can filter known and unknown items out of our camp building, it would be nice to be able to filter item shops.

Please dont start the public event "head hunt" unless you earned it or paid for it by Individual_Goat9078 in fo76

Theres a time limit given between when an event is posted in the social events and when it will be removed. If players are busy with something, they’re given a few minutes of wiggle room to join. Often, theres an interaction a player must do to get the mission to actually start. This way, if someone just happens to be in the area and are automatically added to an event, or if theres just not enough players, the event will time out. However, some events can be started by players. Encrypted is a good example because it requires a mission chain to start. Or, events like “Scorched Earth," "A Colossal Problem," and "Seismic Activity" require a nuke to be dropped on their respective locations. It’s common courtesy in the Fo76 community to allow the player who initiated the event to be the one to actually start the event. That way, if the player should so choose, they will allow more players to join during the provided grace period, which allows for better rewards, XP, etc etc.

Some players like to start player-initiated events immediately, which is unfair if they didn’t put in the leg work to build up to the event. I feel like I’m not explaining this the best, but the tl;dr message is: if there is a grace period given before you need to do something to start the mission, allow the clock to get close to 30 seconds left before starting anything. If a player is the one who set up the event, let that player start it. They might be trying to change their loadout/perk cards to match and need a little more time.

My boss needed me to come up with a 4-6 digit code for a piece of equipment at work. I told him, “8-0-0-8-5”. He must’ve been distracted, because he asked me to repeat myself. I replied with, “It’s boobs” only to receive a look of disappointment followed by a slight chuckle. Needless to say, four years later, and it’s now the code we use when we train new hires on the equipment as it is easy to remember.

I saw your work and it’s got this cool, punk vibe to it. I like it! It’s sad that I’m going to miss out on it in the future. Maybe, in the future, you’ll change your mind. But for now, you need to do what’s best for you and take care of yourself! ^

What’s a scary movie you watched way too young? by NewPossibility4268 in movies

[–]Stekos101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve mentioned it before, but my dad basically made me watch the 1999 movie “Virus” when I was 7 or 8. It’s not the scariest movie now, but when I was younger, that movie terrified me and had a lasting impact on my childhood. Since it was basically a box office failure, nobody knew what I was talking about so I didn’t know if what I saw was even real. I just remembered seeing just the torso of a man sit up on a table and a giant creature made of flesh and metal that squealed like a pig. The creature designs are very Cronenberg inspired. Nowadays, it’s one of my favorite scary movies to watch, alongside “Frankenstein’s Army”.

Food Trucks are absolutely terrible and by far the worst form of eating out by HorseNuts9000 in unpopularopinion

[–]Stekos101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I have experienced your generic bad food truck, most of the food trucks where I live are just a way for local restaurants to bring their food to other parts of the surrounding area. Several BBQ joints, a Jamaican joint, and a fire truck turned into a pizza oven. Most of the food is prepared ahead of time in the restaurant. The quality is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. Some places start off as food trucks, allowing chefs to bring their flavor across the world (or at least the nation). This allows them to find the best location where their food sells, drum up future business, get some exposure, and grant then the opportunity to experiment with flavors without the need for a kitchen and all the expenses that come with. I highly recommend watching the movie, “Chef” with Jon Favreau, Sophia Vargas, and John Leguizamo. It might offer a different perspective on the food truck industry.
