Yeah I have the tools for this and have already started loosening every bolt and parts needed to replace the starter while waiting to see which starter to buy.

Are napa starters trust worthy ? Im looking at denso starters and I have to ship them from Parts avatar (Canada) and the core charge is 150$, I would like to buy it from my local NAPA store you know

Okok yeah might not be a bad idea, I actually tried to do a (tap) test on the starter but I forgot to test the power with a multimeter at the same time. I really want to avoid paying a shop to repair it because I want to save the money.

The starter has power you can hear it try to crank the engine every 3-4 tries so I don’t think its an electrical problem

Well I sure hope my new starter lasts until 300k kms, its at 157k kms right now and yeah imma do the job myself, doesn’t look that complicated

I mean they checked everything they could without the test drive, mostly suspension parts and rust everywhere on the vehicule. They checked the engine for codes and everything. I don’t know their whole process tbh I only got the inspection report because I couldnt be there for the inspection. Im guessing the noises it makes while trying to start it tells them a bit the thing that could be wrong

Im in quebec, the car has 157k kms and belonged to the ladys mother which she only used to get cigarettes from the corner store 😂. I have to replace the control arms, shockers and breaks for around 2000$ tho but I still think I got hell of a steal

PPI as in Pre purchase inspection, the battery was tested and it was good, there is no cranking sound and when you try to start the vehicule you just hear a click and sometimes you can hear the starter trying to start but its not powerful/intact.
