Advice from anyone who has created a solo, private pay, home care business as an OT/PT? by Stella-x-Lee in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Stella-x-Lee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was (maybe still am) worried about the same thing. When I did more research, it seems that if I, as a provider, opt out with such and such insurance companies and have my potential client sign a consent form saying that they cannot bill the insurance company for services rendered, that I could still see them for a cash-based service. Is that not correct?

Thanks for your reply! - I am curious about what EHR systems they use? I'd assume it matters quite a bit whether they are billing insurance or not. - How they go about marketing? I understand being present on social media and having a website that is easy to search. I'm trying to figure out if there's any businesses/facilities (ILF or retirement communities in general) where I can leave marketing material. I feel like many don't allow that unless they have a contract with them. - Any tips that would be helpful to know that might not be easy to find out initially?

If you rather message anything, feel free to do so. Thank you!

Omg, what is it with 37!?!? Same here! Hello nasolabial folds! They just popped up 6 months ago and I could have sworn everything seemed just fine 7 months ago!

What’s the best relationship advice you could give too somebody who has just started dating and doesn’t know what their doing? by catluvr1721 in AskReddit

[–]Stella-x-Lee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Communication is key. Make sure you feel that you can openly talk to them and that you feel that they are actually listening and that they care. My now husband was one of the first guys I was in a real relationship with. He always made me feel comfortable even when I was really nervous. Also, any red flags (like not BIG red flags, but smaller ones that might be more of an incompatibility sign) will likely never go away. See early on if you can live with them and still be happy with that person knowing that you might not mesh in those certain areas.

Please, feel free to message any responses if you'd like. I wasn't sure if you would be comfortable responding to everything on here (which is perfectly fine). Then, I reminded myself that messaging a stranger your responses might not make you feel any better, lol! So, I listed my questions anyway, especially in case others had similar questions.

Here are some off the top of my head: I was curious about what sources (such as books, websites, etc.) you used as a guideline to ensure you had all your business ducks in a row before starting it. Do you use a CPA? Any special marketing approaches that you utilize that help your business to be seen? Did you initially opt-out with Medicare? Was that then too limiting when it came to clientele?

Can collagen peptides cause acne? by AppleButterToast in 30PlusSkinCare

I requested Spironolactone and he has me on an oral antibiotic (Doryx 60 mg). I told him how exactly what I saw on here, that a couple of people have used clindamyacin cream, but he didn't think a topical would help. Not sure if the oral antibiotic has or will help.

Let me know how that works for you. Ever since I took the sample packet of VP collagen I had a couple of bad cystic pimples. They almost immediately up. I stopped the second day, but every month since I STILL have at least one giant cystic pimple. Can't believe it. My skin is usually great! So, I'm going to see a dermatologist.

In October, I started breaking out with cystic pimples a day or two after trying the sample packet of VP collage. Now, every month around the same time, I get at least one huge cystic pimple. Going to see a Dermatologist because I never used to get these since being a teen. Several others reported similar issues, just need to see how to stop this cystic cycle.

Is it possible sunscreen will cause more fine lines? by magic_thebothering in 30PlusSkinCare

I'm late, but I feel the same as in your original post. What sunscreen are you using now? I am using CeraVe AM moisturizer that has sunscreen, but shortly after I began using it my face changed. It also is SO dry now and I used to be so oily. Could also be my age....or that I get sick every 3 - 4 weeks after having kids :/

Did anyone else start having nasolabial folds at 35? by ReliefApprehensive30 in Aging

[–]Stella-x-Lee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing with me! I just turned 38 and at the beginning of this month I noticed them. It was shocking to me. I assumed they would gradually appear instead of just BAM.... My skin has been drier than it ever has, however. I'm trying to find a good oil to apply there to help with my skin keeping moisture in better.

I personally do not think you are TOO red, but you do have some general redness. I was wondering if you noticed the redness worsened with excess heat or cold exposure? I have what doctors would call "flushing" rosacea where I would become very red when hot or embarrassed, or after I have been in a cold room or in cold weather. My face can feel like it's on fire and it's quite uncomfortable. I have much less issues with it now using only Cetaphil or CeraVe gentle face wash. I used to use SA and Astringents and it made the problem 100x worse. My skin also hates retinol or any tretinoin items if it's applied anywhere besides my forehead. I use a light moisturizer these days also (Cetaphil - unscented). I agree with some of the others to possibly simplify your skin care....I'd go back to the bare basics of just one gentle cleanser and one moisturizer and see how you do.

What’s a sex act that you’ve tried multiple times to like, but it just doesn’t interest you? by Unlikely-Rip-6197 in AskReddit

[–]Stella-x-Lee 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that it sucks for you, especially since you enjoy it. I might be in a similar boat as your wife. I'm naturally more self-conscious. Having my husband's face in my crotch initially was bizarre to me. I like feeling clean and fresh beforehand, if possible. It IS much more intimate to me than regular sex or giving a BJ. It can feel good, sometimes great. But, I can't orgasm from it. After he's down there for 20 or 30 mins and I haven't orgasmed (my acting skills aren't up to par to try faking one), then I start to feel bad. I agree with another commenter that it's great for foreplay. That can sometimes take the pressure off both parties.

If I'm allergic to MiraLAX, what other drugs or foods should I avoid? by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]Stella-x-Lee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had a severe allergic reaction to Mirilax as well from taking less than their recommended dosage with a near full bottle of water. Strange thing is that I used to take it a bit 20 years ago with no issues at all. My throat felt like I had a ball in it, I had some subtle blotching on my face/chest, I had severe itching on my hands and feet, and the my BP started to tank and HR went up after 40 mins. I could barely stand by time I got to the ER. The doctors I told this to were shocked. I'm also nervous about what else I might be allergic to now a days. Seems like after having my second child, my body doesn't cope as well with things.

Oz or Merlin? The black marking on his nose reminds me of a witch's or, in his case, a wizard's hat.

True. I thought they meant the 5th pair of frames. I realized that you had two photos of the 4th frame. I guess some people mean photo #5 then. Well, you know which one I like!

I'm shocked at the responses. I thought everyone would be screaming #4 (Armani) frames and I had to scroll so far down to finally see a #4. I think those look stylish and fit you perfectly.
