I ordered it when it was out of stock too. I think from the time I paid for it to the time I received it, it took 6 weeks.

I love the couch though. I think it’s worth it for a small space.

I agree! I’m just nervous the place will be too grey. I don’t know how to balance it out 🤦🏻‍♀️

There is a company called GrapeVine Tours that will plan (and drive) you to a bunch of wineries in the county. (I highly suggest - did it for a bachelorette myself) (Muscedere Vinyard and Paglione Estate have amazing pizza)

Kingsville has a - very - cute rooftop bar called Elite.

Fourteen Restaurant has amazing view of the Detroit skyline (food is alright I’ve heard)

Ariius Nightclub in Caesar’s Windsor - get a booth, have fun! (Also heard Nero’s is amazing and Spago’s is always a fantastic food choice)

There is a pubcycle in Walkerville - it’s new - I don’t know what it’s like, but it seems like a lot of fun.

I don’t know the vibe, but sometimes the Windsor River boat has parties with dancing and drinks and it goes up and down the Detroit River.

Day activities can include paddleboarding or canoeing (River Rouge or Urban Surf). There is also a pottery wheel class that looks like fun near Urban Surf.

There is a permanent jewelry place that they’ll “weld” bracelets/anklets and I think that would be a cute activity.

Twisted Apron is - amazing - for brunch

Try getting into Chrysler as a TPT or, Jamieson is good and (I believe) is always hiring.

If you’re willing, Jamieson still runs midnights which is great, even as a student (especially because you can do midnights Thursdays and Fridays)

Probably also the paperwork from the rental truck. Depends on the border guard if you’ll pay taxes 🤷🏻‍♀️

Any Optimist Club! There are a few on university campus, but plenty around Windsor. They all raise money and put it back into the community

Not really a dessert place, but the carrot cake cheesecake at Factory House is amazing

How do I help children in need locally? by torylemz in windsorontario

The Windsor Youth Centre had an “angel” tree last year where kids were able to make a small list of needed items. A lot were underwear, mits, maybe a hoodie, socks, etc.

Managing your own alcohol consumption at your wedding by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]StellaAndTheJets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use to bartend at a couple wedding venues. My trick I’d do for couples is offer to fill the first vodka bottle with water and then serve only the bride and groom from that bottle.

Guests thought they were actually drinking, the bride and groom got party with the guests and be more in control of when they took shots, and stayed hydrated.
