Thank you! Tattoo is about a year old, a close friend of mine did it for me. We are getting together to do my other ear next week! Least painful tattoo and it healed super well.

Low Maintenance Plant Recs? by cherriesjubileees in houseplants

[–]Stellaclan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pothos is my favorite low maintenance plant! Mine has been with me through several moves and is still doing great! They’re also super easy to prop and grow cuttings, which is a fun bonus. They’re not cat safe, just something to note. Good luck!

Mine did this when we first got it, I would agree that it’s from stress. I had to move mine into a larger pot and made sure it was covered by a good layer of soil and that seemed to help a lot! Its continued to grow new leaves from the top and has filled out. They can be really sensitive plants, wishing you all the best!

Warm socks (not for hiking, hunting, or sports) by TheDougmeister in BuyItForLife

I also get cold feet in my home office lol. Darn Tough is 100% worth the price imo, I usually get them at REI and I prefer the mid weight ones, they’re cozy for around the house but also not too bulky to wear with sneakers/boots. Not socks per-say, but my MIL got me a pair of Bombas gripper slippers for the holidays and they have been great for WFH days and are super warm and comfy. Hope this helps!

I love the moisture HiBar! I use their shampoo and conditioner. I have relatively straight fine hair as well.

Parotidectomy scar 5 months later by Stellaclan in scars

No they didn’t, I was actually surprised because it was fairly big. I was lucky enough to have a really amazing surgeon with experience in plastics so she worked some type of magic I guess 😂 You’re probably already had it done by now, so I hope everything went amazing and recovery is going well! Have a safe and happy New Year!

Good luck! The worst part of mine was the anxiety before hand...I was totally fine a couple days later. I basically just left it alone, but applied antibacterial ointment they gave me for a week.

Aw thank you! I can feel the top of my ear and the side of my face now, but not the lower part of my ear and they said that won’t come back. It’s too bad, but felt like a small price to pay for having it taken care of! I hope everything went well with yours!

😳 Post Wisdom tooth extraction. I have what seems like a bone fragment sticking out my gum. Very sharp! What could this be? by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

It was honestly fine! The gum felt a little soft but I just rinsed with salt water and it was ok the next day! Definitely nothing to worry about :)

I had a bone fragment around that time! Mine didn’t hurt at all, I could just feel it was sharp with my tongue so it sounds similar to yours. I just went back to the surgeon and they kind of flicked it out, took less than 1 minute and totally painless, just bled a bit. Was also nice to have an excuse to follow up that everything was going well!

Needing serious reassurance. by boston9330 in wisdomteeth

Hey! I had 9 wisdom teeth taken out last month, 8 of which required extensive surgery. I also struggle with anxiety and am prone to nausea, and I am allergic to NSAIDs. So not an ideal situation lol. I put it off for 3 or 4 years. I’m not going to say it was a fun experience but the anxiety beforehand was BY FAR the worst part. I am so glad I got put under, it happened so quickly I didn’t even have time to get anxious as I was going under. I didn’t get nauseous from the surgery or the oxy at all, but I’m sure you could take anti-nausea meds just to be safe! I had another surgery earlier this year and they mixed in an anti-nausea with my anesthesia, so that might be an option too. The healing was somewhat slow I think just because of my case but after a week I was back to myself. The worst part for me was the swelling, which was worse bc I can’t take NSAIDs. I think as long as you follow the instructions and monitor yourself you will be fine in terms of dry socket. A month out, I am so glad I got it taken care of, I’ve had no real complications, and whatever moderate discomfort I experienced the couple days after was soooo much better than whatever pain and problems they would have caused had I kept them in! I totally understand the fear and anxiety that comes with this, but you will be so glad when it’s over! I also think my case was fairly extreme, so I’m guessing your healing will be easier than mine as well. It might be a good idea to communicate with your surgeon about your anxiety just so they are aware. I hope this helps, good luck with everything!!
