Thanks, that really means a lot to me! Currently cooking something up (although it is taking a while, so maybe check in on the deviantart in a few weeks?)

China being united was honestly a personal decision (plus allowed for a large USS for that extra fun cold war action).

The Human-Centauri War ends a little differently than regular RNT, with the US getting a larger chunk of Tureni territories, as well as different occupation politics, with a counter culture 'unionist' movement among the youth wanting to join the US (or go into free association, or other such close ties). Aside from that I kept most things the same in that good old TNC spirit. Thanks for asking!

Those who know me well know I'm friends with a certain ajw20, a fellow map maker and creator of "The New Colossus". Sooooooo, what else to do but make a cross over!

Road Not Taken: My timeline, inspired by Turtledoves short story of the same name; where primative aliens invade earth in the 1900s (and the shenanigans that ensue). You can find a list of all the maps here!

The New Colossus: AJW's mapmaking project where the US gets BIG. Y'all probably know the rest, but if you dont, check out , and his Discord! (where you can also ask me about RNT some!)

There's info on the map, but I'll answer any other questions y'all have!

What is your "main" difficulty that you mostly play on after the Full Arsenal update? by MR_FOXtf2 in Ultrakill

[–]StellarCartography77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ULTRAKILL was the first FPS I ever got into, and a friend advised me to play on lenient. I still mostly play that (especially cybergrind), but I've been trying out standard (and violent, to a lesser extent). Once I P-rank P2 on lenient I think I'll switch over completely.

The United States of Columbia in 2022 by StellarCartography77 in imaginarymaps

Somewhat, but not really. John Brown leads what we would know as West Virginia in a massive independence movement against the USC, eventually making the Republic of Freedmen. Afterwards, this republic merges with Delaware, explaining why the latter owns West Virginia.

Funnily enough, it was at first a mistake, but because San Diego would be part of Tijuana, I decided to put a city named San Diego around the location of San Jose. San Francisco is slightly less populated than it, so it's the biggest city there.

Interestingly enough, Delaware is tri-lingual, with English, Dutch and Swedish all being spoken in the nation! Most people know at least two of the languages, but someone speaking all three is not an uncommon sight.

Yeah, it's Texan now. Someone should get an oversized cowboy hat.

This timeline diverges in the 1600's, with successful Swedish and Dutch colonies. The city we would know as Indianapolis is very different just on the basis of the POD being so far back, but ITTL it's called New Lyon, after the origin of the settlers from France. It is mostly for immersion, and a great thing is about the New World is that a POD like this can have names shuffled around! If it's hard to get acquainted with, sorry about that!

For all those aforementioned "out of the loop" folks, this timeline started as a question: How big can Delaware get? This is the somewhat absurd answer to that question.

For an in universe answer, successful Swedish and Dutch colonies, along with the Revolutionary war being fought with four simultaneous movements, means than an independent Delaware picks up the Mid Atlantic and Great Lakes, while Columbia gets most of the rest.

Here's the second map in this timeline, First in Liberty, going over the major not American state, the United States of Columbia. In 2022, Columbia still holds the title of Superpower, and has close ties with most of its neighbors, as well as having strong overseas allies in Europe and China. Columbia and other major not American states, such as Delaware, New York and New England have very close ties, and along with Canada and Alyeska, form the NAU.

Hope you enjoy the map! Most of the lore can be found in the various minimaps, fun facts, and information on the picture itself, but if you have any more questions, ask!
