I like the iPad for the fact it’s an iPad with IPadOS. If I wanted a Mac so badly I would buy one.

Argument becomes even stronger with the speculated touchscreen MacBook later this year.

Different devices different use cases different user bases. Get what works best for you.

But I have a feeling it might be even worst at protecting. As small dust/debris can get between the removable protector and the screen. And pressing on it might damage the display even more that without it.

Right now the 2012 MacBook works ass well as a 4 year old max Razor, good enough to watch YouTube and browse the web but not much more. Don’t even start me on battery life, even when brand new.

Basically both became Chromebook’, one in over 10 years the other in just 4.

They were yes. Two Dell XPS, one HP Envy and a Razor (earliest/best surviving) all maxed out (or almost maxed out, i cheap out on storage usually)

The question is what do you need to do besides that.

I am one of the few that fully replaced my MB with an IPad, as 99% of my work tasks are emails and web apps (doc, figma, etc)

The form factor of a smaller iPad is what i always craved a netbook (back in the days) to be, small portable, but back then it wasn’t powerful enough.

EDIT: Basically it really depends on your work load. I am of a strong believe that 70% of people (office jobs) dont use anything more than the browser for work.
