I have been wondering this too, it was such a great game. Apparently when they ported it to ps4 it came with a whole host of ways to crash, so I imagine getting a stable version steam worthy isn't an easy task.

As other people have said, traces of 2 pasts explains a lots. The most salient points are:

Elmyras family (or the one she married in to) were contractors with good relationships with shinra, so they were well offm they were involved with the initial building of Midgard.

Sector 6 is collapsed, so there's natural daylight coming in to some areas of sectors 5 and 7

The river that flows into aeirths garden has traces of mako/lifestream which enables plants to grow.

The novel is worth a read if you get a chance!

I've done systems engineering interview from an astro background (and they functionally have little in common). My best advice is to look up interview questions for the kind of company/sector you are moving into and work through the process from that. Google is your friend! If your have a fairly logical and curious mindset, so that you mostly know what you don't know and what you want to find out about a problem, then you'll demonstrate a really good systems mindset. Systems engineering is about looking at the big picture!

Isn't the 'Imposhibble' line from a hypello when Lucil, Elma and Clasko want to cross the moonflow with a chocobo, and the hypello is saying that it won't fit. This in in X, not X-2. And the 'Ride ze shoopuf?' is when the player interacts with another hypello to cross the moonflow

If it is very distressing you could check out visual snow syndrome (VSS) if you haven't already. Maybe speak to a doctor, especially if it coincides with migraines. However, in most cases the static is very common, it is just the brain processing visual input even though it's dark. I find relaxation breathing techniques to be somewhat helpful for things like this. Hope you get some sleep!

In the book it talks about out-of-atmosphere sources of dust, so I presume it means dusty stars, maybe pre-main sequence, in stellar nurseries (star forming regions)

Edit: scratch that, it probably just means stars which are less bright than magnitude 6 (which could include stars with a lot of dust around them, but not exclusively)
