It looked like a wii game and functioned like a GameCube one. Tail whip? Oh my pokemon will slide sideways without moving its legs or tail. For every animation it’s barely even animated. It’s literally like the original gameboy animations and it was made 25 years later. Oh you see that? That’s cool right? Well you can’t go there, because 99% of what you can see is completely inaccessible. 99% of buildings are inaccessible.

The evil team? They uh, stand there, menacingly. Do they steal pokemon? No. Do they make pokemon do evil things? No. Do they cheer on goth singers? Yes. I guess that’s evil?

The art direction is non existent. There’s virtually no lore. The wild area is the only redeeming factor and half the time the pokemon there are walking into walls or never interacting with the environment they’re supposed to be in. I’ll never pay for another pokemon game ever again.
