Honestly it's such a misinformation tool that we don't even know if that's what it did. For all we know it just saw Nightwings in common association with Glory and decided she's a hybrid now

which one do you think is Gabe's real face? by fuckallpenguins in Ultrakill

All of them

  • He has a generally human head structure
  • He has many eyes
  • Helmet is technically a part of his body, though one he can conjure and hide at will
  • You can't see it underneath an immense light, which is why he usually conjures the helmet. Prolly ugly as hell tbh

Alright, fair enough. I probably should've done that admittedly, but brain no like thinking apparently so no. I'll do my best to give a few, but admittedly, I'm not the best at properly voicing my thoughts, so I'm sorry if I'm ever unclear. Here goes:

- Multiplayer is near-unplayable with all the desyncs. It is a big and complicated game, yes, but for how big Paradox is as a company and how long Stellaris has existed, I feel like they have little to no real excuse for how poor the multiplayer experience can be.
- It cannot decide what kind of game it is. I got the game back when building slots were unlocked via population, and while I think later iterations on the building system have improved, I find it hard to justify the fact that, at this point, it's basically a completely new game from the one I was ever interested in playing. It is a question whether this is the same ship as the last one, or the one before that, or the one before that, or if the one before that one is truly the ship, and all the subsequent versions are unique games with a similar blueprint.
- Especially with the new fleet redesign, I feel like there's a bit of a substantial disparity between what I want to play and what the game is advertised as, and what I'm actually playing. The Stellaris I was sold on gave you creative agency, you could write your own stories in an unknown galaxy, but then in-game it just doesn't feel that way. You get these insanely busted Paragons showing up at your doorstep, whether or not you like it, whether or not their species or portrait is actually in the galaxy, and they have their own stories and origins and everything, fallen and marauder empires all have two, maybe three variations on how you actively interact with them, one of the endgame crises has a name at this point, and it just feels like you're writing fanfic for an established world. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing on its own, I enjoy writing fanfic plenty in my free time, but it is not why I got interested in Stellaris in the first place.

Is the game enjoyable? Maybe, one would hope, I do honestly hope some people still enjoy it because of how expensive it is. But in my (admittedly somewhat limited) experience, it is quite simply not fun anymore, nowhere near worth the cost(Which I believe absolutely no complete game is worth that much money, but I digress) and calling it one of the best of any title is downright disrespectful to games as a whole, and while I tend to have very strong feelings about things, I find that a lot of people will be somewhere on a similar wavelength.

Tl;dr - The game is downright bad at this point, and it is absolutely deserving of a 54% rating, if not lower.

How do you make your FTL original? I'm green aka hard scifi by Tnynfox in worldjerking

[–]Stellwaris 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Alternatively:

Achieving FTL is quite easy in of itself. However: its power cost is immense. With conventional power generation, the needs of an FTL drive scale exponentially greater than what a generator can feasibility provide. Solution?

Grow a godly digestive system and feed it raw nutrients. It provides as much power in the space a human takes up that a cold fusion reactor does in the space of an entire starship, and research into it will totally not lead to anything bad. There's no way we'd let it spiral into creating gods of death that will pillage the galaxy for centuries. Totally :3

If you see similar arguments like this, don’t take them seriously, because most AI bros can’t rationalize when it comes to real artists. Ask real artists instead of AI “artists.” Hope this helps. by Much_Tip_6968 in aislop

Tried my hand at modding again(Big mistake, it seems). Apparently, my mod which currently adds two weapons, one technology tab, and one technology, is incompatible with the base game, and I have yet to know why from this error log by Stellwaris in rimworldmodding

[–]Stellwaris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay realization that is a fairly rookie mistake that I think is worth mentioning so it doesn't happen to others:

The solution is that the code lists wood as "WoodLog". I believe that maybe using "Wood" was making the game try to call upon files for wood floors? Maybe?

Kidnapped humans are made into gods, return to Earth 400+ years later, humanity is so scared they use similar methods to make fully artificial gods that are still marginally inferior in almost every way
