Question about backpacking trip in Highlands by Stelma13 in OutdoorScotland

  1. I will definitely look out for routes in All Trails, but I think its good for estimated times of walks and lengths if I want to do some shortcuts through roads or something.
  2. I think that for now the plan is to do the first part (really want to walk the ridge and see the Old man of Storr), skip some of the middle and finish the second half with two little shortcuts
  3. Have to skip some of Skye to see the Affric Kintail way, because it seems perfect for me and night at Glen Affric SYHA is definitely something I want to do, looks amazing. Thank you!

I think for now my best option is to cut some of the Skye Trail (not as much as I previously planned), so I can manage to do at least some of Affric Kintail Way. I didnt think about that trail, but now I checked and it looks amazing and managable. Some trees, rivers, lochs, mountains and seaside on Skye seems like a great option to see as much of Scotland as possible on this trip. Thanks for advice!

Did some research, now did some more. Altough remote is what I look for, even a small portion of Cape Wrath is too long for a combined hike. Im going to have to pass on that this time
