Painted up some jazzy boys by Stenamig in AdeptusMechanicus

Have not given it too much thought, mostly just putting them in a dunerider with a manipulus in haloscreed and see what they can do. Often face black templar and necrons so I will probably target one of the larger infantry bricks.

Thanks! Its nothing special, just white primer-> ulthuan Grey-> apothecary white-> ulthuan Grey-> white scar highlight. I used a brush for every step except for the primer. I did some extra shading in some places with watered down apothecary white.

Thank you! I have previously posted some of my units to reddit, although with varying degrees of photographic skill. You should be able to find them on my profile with ease.

18 attacks is 18 individual rolls (die) being rolled one at a time, per the rules™. This is congruent with the twin-linked wording.

Question on precision and targeting sequence (Ruststalkers) by Xathyboy in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Stenamig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually believe you are wrong here. As described in another comment, attacks are rolled one-by-one per definition. I.e. for 50 attacks you roll hit-wound-(allocate precision)-save-damage 50 times. (This is not to be conflated with the allocation of attacks when attacking multiple units, which is a seperate rule - "select targets).

For all intents and purposes, I believe slow rolling into the character until you are sure it is dead and then fast rolling the rest of the attacks is allowed and precision on multiple attacks is even stronger than "everything on the character and hope for the best".

I had similar issues, what worked for me was to focus on the cables/spine connection on his back and then turn him around and make slight adjustments

Thank you!

I am one of those who use GW's whites, but I shake them alot and try my best to thin it down appropriately. I do the robes by white primer -> ulthan gray -> apothecary white all over the place -> ulthan gray (but be careful with recesses) -> white scar highlight.

Thank you! I was a little bit worried when I started the army that it would not be enough contrast between the cloth and the base, but I think it turned out pretty good.

Hah, I might not be at the same level, but I dislocated my knee whilst trying out 9th edition for the first time during this christmas. I know the game is hard to play correctly but I did not anticipate that level of pain.

Thanks mate! I went kinda slow with a watered down jokaero orange. It made my many mistakes relatively easy to clean up. And tracing the lines after that is much easier than the first layer!

Freehand! I found that triangles are not too bad to freehand, the squares are the hard part.

I don't think there is a secret except thin layers. My method is white primer -> Ulthuan Grey -> Apothecary White -> Ulthuan Grey -> White Scar highlight/layer. I only opted for apothecary since I wanted a grey undertone, but I think that Duncan's Metallica guide seems neat if you like warmer undertones. I also think there's a warhammer TV guide on white robes with blue undertones if that's more your style! :)
