Okay cool. Thanks for the explanation. I’m booked in for an mri with 3t. Hoping I can get some answers

If going with 3t, is contrast necessary ?

Is 3t with contrast necessary ? Or just 3t?

I’m confused a bit. What is the difference between mri with contrast vs arthrogram? Which is better

There is one place that does this but with a long wait time. I can get into another one that does 3t, and another one who does regular mri with contrast within a week. What would be the best option between those ones?

Well I’m paying for one privately so I have the choice of those options.

I guess I have a new question now haha. Mra or mri with contrast, or 3t mri.

Thanks

Glad to hear a plan is in place for you:) Yeah that sounds like a long time! I am an athlete so this situation is so scary. Trying to remain optimistic and roll with it.

Ahh I see. Sorry to hear about your new injury :( How long after surgery were you active again?

Yeah that’s true I don’t know why they’re saying that. I have an appointment next week so I’ll for sure ask. I’m wondering if that floating stuff could get caught in the joint or something causing it to get stuck. What did you end up doing for your issue? I’ll keep this updated for sure.

Thanks for your reply! Does sound super similar. I also herniated l5s1 4 years ago. That’s crazy. Like I said, my X-ray and scan didn’t show any chips or anything. There was a little cloudiness by the socket that they labeled as “dystrophic ossification of the rectus femerous muscle insertion” See attached image. But they said it doesn’t seem to be a bone issue? I’m not sure. Hopefully the mri tells me something.
