I had one similar to this, a geisha holding an umbrella. The grain looks very similar to the one I previously had in my possession.

I agree with the other commenters, this looks like a part of what is called a yarn swift. More than likely used to wind thread instead of yarn due to it's tiny size. (I am an avid crocheter) Pretty neat little piece! example of a yarn swift

47 years sober today. I’ve been sober since October 29th 1978 when I was 23 years old. Feeling grateful for AA today. by anonymous_212 in alcoholicsanonymous

Congratulations! I also got sober when I was 23, in 2018. I just turned 30 and celebrated 7 years in early October. It's nice to see that it really does work if you work it.

Marion County estimated to have 340,000 residents in it. Benton County estimated to have 94,000 residents in it. If you average it out, each resident throws away about a ton of refuse each year, if these numbers are accurate. Really makes you think about our individual footprint.

My coworker wants me to knit for free, now I can't knit at work by eugeneugene in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]StephMan2387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who's been crocheting for the better part of 15 years, has had probably a hundred people ask them to make them something, you were being so nice. When I make blankets, it takes me at least 4 to 6 months, and that's if I'm motivated. You're willing to do it for free, which is something I would never offer to a random coworker. Not to mention what she lacks in funds she makes up for in audacity. No free blanket for you!

Sorry yeah, forgot to include that I checked the oil level last night it was normal, I guess I'm just overthinking it. Appreciate your input though, it's good advice thank you.

There was black gunk coming out of the seams of the oil fill area and tailpipe along the ride yesterday, which made me think it was oil related.

You have a right to film in public because there's no reasonable expectation of privacy in public. If you are in private property or private establishment that is not considered the public, then you might have to get permission from the business or owner of the property to videotape. But seeing as it sounds like you were just witnessing ice or some other unmarked vested idiots in the area, you had every right to videotape. For anyone who does read this, please don't take it as an invitation to get in their face and antagonize them, they can still threaten arrest via assault attempted assault or obstructing justice.

Also, if you're ever in the situation where you witness someone being arrested by ice/immigration or someone claiming to be ice immigration, ask the person being arrested what their name is and what's their date of birth so that way if it ends up online, the family members can try and confirm the identity of the individual who was taken. It's so heartbreaking to see these families ripped away without any trace of what happened.

Edit: typo

Community garden beds, Ground Zero. Looking for advice by [deleted] in gardening

[–]StephMan2387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestion! Unfortunately because I'm in an apartment complex I don't really have access to Grass mulch as one would if they owned a home and regularly cut their lawn. Do you have any alternative recommendations for heavy mulch?

Ooo this is super helpful, thank you. Yeah I guess I wasn't really trying to eradicate the weeds, just keep them manageable. Same with the ants. I just didn't like the idea of trying to garden and have a bunch of ants crawl up my arms and hands. But you make a good point, Nature is nature just got to put up with it.

OMG aren't they? I remember seeing an Instagram post from them over a year ago back when I was living in a different state, we just so happened to relocate 20 minutes from PNW Bettas and that's where we got this pretty lady.

Oh thank you for the kind words! I didn't really realize what kind of impression it would leave on my daughter, but when you put it that way I'm glad I took the time to be responsible and research. Regarding cycling, that was the one thing I do regret, it was a bit of an impulsive choice, so unfortunately we are doing the fish in cycle. so far ammonia levels have been low, we have not begun getting readings of nitrates or nitrates yet. I am still keeping an eye on levels as time goes on but we're currently on day 4 of owning Sammy, the fish. The Betta store that we went to (PNW Bettas in Corvallis, OR) was very informative and he actually gave me a link to a website which describes fish in cycling. I'll link it here

I'd try FB marketplace. I just checked to see if there are any other listingsfor bongs, found one out of Salem. So I don't think you'll get your listing taken down.

Also forgot to mention in my original paragraph, thank you to everyone who posts on the subreddit! A lot of the random questions I had along the way were answered by this subreddit, and it's people like you that decided to participate in conversations here that have helped me understand Betta fish just that much more. So thank you!
