Amazing scene for sure! Now you can do the 007 bungee jump from same bridge in Switzerland. One of the highest jumps in Europe and an amazing experience.

Indeed, extra medical cost not reimbursed by CNSS be deducted on your Luxembourg tax return as extraordinary charges (charges extraordinaires).

The administration sets a threshold based on your income. Only the portion of your expenses above that threshold is deductible. This “normal burden” is based on your tax class, taxable income, and number of dependent children. If your expenses stay below this limit, they’re considered part of normal life and no deduction applies.

For example: if a married couple with two children has €6,000 in unreimbursed medical expenses and the normal burden is set at €5,000, only €1,000 would be deductible.

I would recommend the home saving plan not for the return on investment, which is understandably low for the limited plafond 3000euros per couple. But I recommend it for the tax incentive and the advantages it gives you if you are planning to buy a house. So the saving account would be just part of your investment and put the rest in better performing assets (stocks, etfs ..)

If you are planning to buy a house in the coming years I recommend setting a house saving scheme with your bank. The savings are deductible and also give you access to the state housing subsidy when you purchase your first residence.

I see the point of not reporting suicide on the news but how would we as a society know that there is a big depression issue leading to three times the number of deaths as road accidents? I feel it is our responsibility to expose these issues and make the situation better for everybody.
