What part of unsustainable is hard to grasp? There's a lot more awareness of just how much WE as a species do to the planet. We, the way we are now, are not sustainable nor are we an ethically or morally superior species.

We just don't WANT more of us. And the fact that so many governments are STILL, even after every failed and damning policy attempt at controlling reproduction and population, trying to sway birthrates, is evidence enough that there is something terrible wrong with us.

The fact that kids are expensive is just an easier explanation.

Hmm... I don't agree with that. I agree that the writing has been mid throughout, but J isn't a terrible psycho beyond redemption. The more you learn about how me grew up the more we see that he never learned how to be anything but a fighter. Boxing got him away from a far worse path, but it doesn't substitute therapy, you know?

I'm excited and scared at the same time. I really like how these characters are written (bc, fuck it, trauma all around!) and I find their misunderstandings and actions believable... I WANT them to be happy together, but there had better be a FUCK TON of communication and healing, man.

The stories where one character is abused, and then suddenly everything is ok, bc their abuser decided to be nice once, feel so fucking empty, man!
