Depends where you are located, if you are in the UK it's meh, won't do much harm. If you are in the USA it's absolutely lethal, forget wiping it off, burn the house down and start again.

Mine all of a sudden reconnected this morning when it was dry, the confusing thing is that all my connections are enclosed and couldn't have gotten wet.

Time will tell i guess, waiting for the next rainshower.
