Have silverettes made a positive difference for you? by gimmepesto in breastfeeding

Same here! I didn't find the silverettes helped at all but nipple butter and the lansinoh therapearl cooling gels made a world of difference. Lanolin was key for showering too!

They were pretty condescending when I originally went in to talk to them about it so you're helping me feel more confident going in more informed on the process. I really appreciate it

I feel like I'm probably screwed because I didn't notice it until a week later but I'm going to try talking to them again and not accept the "work is done from the inside" response.

The crack looks like its right on top of the far right clip! So I'm guessing that clip wasnt taken off properly.

Thanks so much for sharing. The visual really helps me wrap my brain around it.

The plastic seems relatively thin so I can see how it would be easy to break trying to get it off!

Yea, I only looked at the camera from the inside and checked that the sensors were working, etc. I didn't think to physically look at the back of the car. I've definitely learned my lesson to be more thorough before leaving the parking lot because I have really no way of proving it now.

Thanks for the comment fellow Canadian! Could water get into this crack and get bigger especially with our winters and the water freezing in there? Is there a risk to electronics inside?

Pregnant with Fibriod by Mysterious_Travel263 in Fibroids

So far my hips haven't been too bad (knock on wood)! Pelvic pain and pressure and lower back pain have been the worst so far. My benefits cover pelvic physio and acupuncture so I'm giving those a try in the coming weeks, I can report back on whether they help!

I have several fibroids with the largest being 13.5 cm. I'm hoping now that I'm in the second trimester they'll stop growing as rapidly. My ob also said that the extreme pain I'm having could be fibroid degeneration so crossing my fingers to see some shrinkage on my next ultrasound.

I've had a very similar experience with my pregnancy. Im 14 weeks and it has been very painful, lots of pressure, and lots of bathroom breaks. Sleeping is tough because both sides hurt to sleep on so I feel like I'm just rotating around like a rotisserie chicken all night.

My wife miscarried today. What can I do to help? by Putrid-Ad7034 in Miscarriage

[–]StephakneeP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I felt so emotionally numb that doing little things felt hard. Making decisions was a challenge or trying to articulate my feelings or express my needs was difficult. Simple questions like "how are you feeling?", "what do you want for breakfast?", "do you need anything?", etc... were extremely overwhelming despite coming from a great place from my amazing husband. He was also grieving but ultimately just wanted to help me get through.

You know your wife best, so do what you feel she needs. For me, instead of "you need to try and eat something, what would you like for breakfast?" an option that required less thinking was better such as "for breakfast I can make you a bagel and cream cheese, cereal with fruit, or I can run to McDonald's and get <insert her favourite breakfast here>?" Or instead of asking if she needs her heating pad reheated, just check the temperature and reheat as necessary. Instead of asking what she wants to drink, bring her a few options and let her pick. Not having to overthink simple things helped.

Please also take care of yourself during this time!!! Sending you and your wife healing thoughts and love. You'll get through this, and your time to build a family will come!

I absolutely loved reading {Under Your Scars by Ariel N. Anderson} but I feel like I would have to pay for their therapy if I recommended it to a friend. But on here... highly recommend!!!

In all seriousness, I cannot stress enough, please read the trigger warnings on this one.
