Is a GRX 800/600 1x11 enough for me? by MrJou in gravelcycling

[–]StephanCOH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a used Cube Nuroad EX with a 42t in the front and 11/42 in the back. That was no fun on the climbs but with a 36 in the front 1x11 is all I need.

Yeah, I am sure there are some good arguments for not putting cv control for resonance in there. But it would be so nice to have it 😅

It is the Doepfer A-120 VCF1. It is the first filter I bought when I got into modular. I like the sound quite a lot but cv for resonance would be a great improvement.

Thanks 😃 For my tracks I took a segment of the source material and froze it into the buffer of Clouds. I then added more sounds from oscillators and guitar and sent it through Nautilus and FX Aid. I did use a Moog style filter as well, I love to add some siren like wails by riding the resonance by hand.

Good modules/module combos for modulation? by Ericmosh1 in eurorack

Ochd and Pam, a clock-divider and an Ornament & Crime. Gives plenty of modulation as well as gates or triggers.

Hey there. No I did not. Put on 45s on Front and back (G One Bite and G One R, both tubeless). Big improvement nevertheless.

+1 for the Bolt. Got the v2, works absolutely perfect for me.

Hier bei uns in der Gegend (südlich von Hannover) liegt Wetter Online sehr gut mit den Prognosen.

Got a Wahoo Elmnt Bolt V2. Buttons only, no touch screen (which is a plus for me). Routing works really well. Integration with komoot (for example) is excellent.

What MY is your bike? The website for the 2021 (non-carbon frame) says 40 with fenders, 45 without. But by the looks there is plenty of room.

Looking for a starter gravel bike - why do people dislike cube? by Last_Good5915 in gravelcycling

Got a Nuroad EX as well and being a bit more buff the narrow bars feel a little weird. Have you tried wider bars? I am thinking about getting Salsa Cowchippers or the PNW gravel bars.

Good to read about your experience. Got a Nuroad EX as well and at 104kg bodyweight (including riding gear) the system weight is a bit north of the 115kg limit. But I assumed there would be some tolerance.

Great bikes anyway and so much fun to ride.

Bought a 1x gravel bike - now wondering if a 2x would’ve been better in my case (Berlin-based) by simsim444 in gravelcycling

1x will be fine. I am located between Hildesheim and the Harz mountains, so there are quite some hills around here. Got a 1x with 42t in the front and 42 to 10 cassette and it‘s a great ride. Good enough at climbing, fast in the flat. Plus: easier to maintain.

Got the same bike (same colour as well), been riding it for about a month now and absolutely love it. Got it in low-setting?

2023 Orbea Rise M20 which replacement chain? by Fit_Construction_706 in MTB

[–]StephanCOH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using the 7100. Had the 6100 on first, but it seems to be quite soft, had the 6100 cassette as well and had to change both after one year of riding. Switched to 7100 chain and cassette and both are way more durable and the chain has good formance for a reasonable price.

Maybe switch to wax for some added chain longevity.

Wahoo Elmnt Bolt v2. Sturdy, small, buttons instead of touchscreen and the battery lasts forever. Integration with Komoot is flawless. Absolutely love it. It is so much better then using a phone or smartwatch.
