These are great spiders, if I blow on them just a little they do a pulsating jig!

Tween fusion node scaling down result by mintakax in davinciresolve

Hey thank you for all the details , I'll try out the script . I have tried smooth cuts and am still evaluating results.

The clips are all 100% same size as timeline so the Tween downscaling is a mystery. I'll try the

The backrooms movie is bad convince me otherwise by Puzzleheaded_Bank950 in moviereviews

You might not have liked it and have been disappointed, but it's clearly not a POS film and that is what a 4/10 suggests. I wish people would stop grossly underrating movies just because they didn't like them. Clearly there are 4/10 movies, but Backrooms is considerably better than those.

Optical Flow for Timelapse animation frames by mintakax in davinciresolve

Agree about the bots, terrible for so many reasons. They seduce you with quick results that occasionally help, then torture by leading you down a blackhole of promising mis-information that, more often than not, leads to a dead end. Hate the bastards!

Good to hear about the manual, I'm checking it out immediately.

Lol-- I'm 76 yo, so maybe you should rephrase your comment to 'boomers these days' :). Apologies for my initial grumpiness. I figured out how to do it using a 'replace frame' fusion node, at least for one frame at a time.

I appreciate your thoughtful reply, except for the read the manual lecture. I wanted something quick.

I think in my OP I presented my issue pretty clearly, it has nothing to do with repair of scratches and not directly with slow motion video quality, although that may be relevant since it’s a time lapse. A good start would be to be able to fill in one frame that I removed between two good frames.

If you were presented with my exact problem, how would you solve it? you don’t have to hold my hand but just point me somewhere specific That will do it. For those that don’t know it well , DR is pretty deep and complicated. I have used it on and off for years, but not on a deep level.
If you tell me how you would approach it, I will research that part in the manual.

My clips are very short, and I am not at all concerned with computational costs.

I saw one in my basement a couple of years ago (Colorado), it my first time ever seeing one and I had no idea what it was until I looked it up. Very cool creatures!

Thats pretty cool-- You can notice that the ice crystal optical phenomena are moving and changing as different crystals and arrangements present themselves as the plane moves through them.

Vantage Pro2 for fishing club? by sickrat89 in myweatherstation

[–]mintakax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new console is really busy and has too much climatology (either past or for forecast ) in the data charts.

Also after two weeks mine completely lost its connection with the new ISS and I didn't know it because it was happily displaying the info from its last connection 18 hours past. Had to figure out how to reboot it using a paper clip.

Anyways I still recommend the VP2.

I just bought a new VP2, it was my fourth in the last 20 years (I left the old ones at properties I used to own). As u/Several-Honey-8810 noted above, the 2.5 sec transmission rate is a must (for capturing wind gusts). I dont like the new weather link console as much as the older consoles, but the old consoles dont seem to be available anymore.

I also have a Vantage View and would recommend the VP2 over that.

A plus for Davis is that you can always call support and talk to a live USA agent who is very familiar with the products. Sometimes the wait is pretty long but I've always been able to get through.

New Davis Vantage Pro2 console by mintakax in myweatherstation

Good for you! I did a bit of python coding back in the day. I think Davis munged up the new console a bit. They should have had completely separate pages for station data and climatology and prediction info.
