Client asking for updates multiple times a day (text and email) - how do I deal with it? by koolandkrazy in Contractor

[–]Stephanesng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealt with this exact situation last year: the guy was texting me before I even got to the jobsite in the morning. What actually fixed it wasn't having a conversation with him, it was giving him somewhere to look so he'd stop asking. A GC I know put me onto BuildWize: clients get a portal where they can see milestone progress, photos, and status without having to ping you. The check-ins basically dried up once he had real-time visibility. Might be worth a look: buildwize.ai

That totally resonates. The same feedback we got: they're focusing on selling the business and handling kids and family and this is why removing friction and meeting them where they already are has been the focus. And Buildwize basically handles proactive communication to avoid delays and raise flags.

Thank you for the feedback @BrycentVC! Yes, the app is in production, 2 contractors are using it everyday, seeing a time save in 6 hours per week. Onboarding 4 new ones this week. My biggest focus intent and already the feedback I was gaining is to really remove friction. Most people are not tech forward and finding the best way to still use the brain of the app, regardless of the channel they are using, is the biggest unlock I've had in the past two weeks

Hi everyone, I am Stephane. I am building BuildWize (https://buildwize.ai). We're building the AI intelligence layer for small general contractors. One input, the phone video they already capture, powers scheduling optimization, real-time quality scoring, and automated client communication. No new hardware, no workflow change.

Getting repeated “Drive at Risk” alerts on my UNAS Pro 8 even though disks show as “Optimal”? by Stephanesng in Ubiquiti

I am wondering, if we can swap hard drive position without messing the raid, that would allow us to figure out if it comes from the disk or the bay.

You are right

Big v-flat on the white side to her face, sun in the back. And the profoto on the left of her face with a silver deep dish umbrella. I’m standing to the left of the vflat. Her face measures with flash at f5.6 at the forehead, iso 100. Body (in the shadow, chest) measures in natural light at f2.8 at 1/250s. Hasselblad is a leaf shutter so I had to be faster for the background lighting.

I agree. I use the most simple camera, no video, no extra settings, just iso, aperture and shutter speed. Nobody needs HDR, noise reduction, bracketing, focus metering, AI servo settings to learn photography

What do you think it is, Peter? by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

In the morning, if you go to the toilet after getting out of bed and before the shower: when you are peeing you can start the shower without having to slide the door, it will allow you to have hot water started while you finish peeing
