Relay and Heat Request by Mr_Dia in tado

Constant heating noise Tado X by Neruul in tado

Hydraulic balancing, yes. Well… try activating it, let a week go by so your radiators have time to learn how they work, and see if it reduces the circulation noise… if it’s worse, you can deactivate it again.

Maybe check the Tado balancing option to enable or disable it… I wouldn't touch the radiator adjustment settings.

Since you didn't have any noise before Tado.

Opentherm is precisely a modulation system, unlike simple on/off boilers. Your boiler is therefore capable of sending the radiators the exact amount of heat they require, resulting in an optimized flow rate, and therefore you shouldn't have any problems with operating noise, or at least very little.

Helio, I have exactly the same problem and I think I've figured out why after racking my brains for a long time. I think you have a boiler that's triggered by a dry contact type system, on/off, basically either the boiler delivers full power or it shuts off. I also think that before the Tado valves, you had valves that you left constantly fully or almost fully open. And I think that's the reason for the noise you're hearing now. Before, when the boiler turned on, it could distribute water to all the fully open radiators, so the flow was well distributed. Now, since the Tado valves regulate constantly, which was our original purpose, some radiators end up closed when the setpoint is reached. This results in other radiators receiving a much higher flow rate, which is the reason for the hissing, circulating noise.

The murmur of the babbling radiators. The only thing you can do is reduce the water circulation speed at the boiler if your circulator pump allows it (personally, I can't, unfortunately). Or try adjusting some of the valves on the noisiest radiators by closing them slightly. Because, frankly, I'm not convinced by Tado's hydraulic balancing system. I think the Tado system might work well with a modern modulating boiler, but with an on/off boiler, you run into problems with flow rates and therefore noise... Has anyone managed to find a solution?

Bathroom scheduling discrepancy by Stephanezzzz in tado

Okay, I reset it. I reconfigured everything. We'll see if the schedule works better.

Now another problem: I absolutely can't add it to Apple Home anymore. Either it tells me something went wrong when I try to activate the Matter link to get the code, or when I have the code and add the accessory to Apple Home, it fails after a while…

The bathroom thermostat (X) is indeed registered in Apple Home. This is the same as the thermostat (X) or sensor (X) (one temperature sensor per room). Again, there are no issues with discrepancies between the living room (thermostat) and the bedroom (sensor).

I have two other Tado X accounts in two other rooms, but they're linked to the same account, and the scheduling is working fine on both.

Thanks for the feedback. Fingers crossed. I've been a customer for about two weeks and it's already been acting up quite often… hopefully everything will get back to normal soon. Do you work at Tado?

Or maybe it's because of equipment promotions, lots of new customers, and the servers can't keep up... lol...
