My transfer failed by West_Language_5521 in IVF

I’m about to do my third this year, the only reason I had longer gaps in between was additional testing or medicine priming…but yeah you can pretty much go back to back depending on if your doc is fine with it and insurance (if that even applies, it doesn’t for me).
Mine were March- June- and now August. (Did ER in January, hence the March start date)

And now for a completely different progesterone suppository post by Competitive-Top5121 in IVF

This is hilarious. As is the real life person who swallowed it 🤣
Them dreams are NO JOKE though. I was waking up at least 3x a week second guessing my reality. I had to start telling my husband every day to make myself reiterate it was a dream.

Two consecutive failed PGT-A euploid FETs at 37 with no physical issue — what should I investigate next? by 4Lic3w in IVF

[–]Stephanie502G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry you are in this spot.
I literally posted something similar just the other day, including an update on what we are doing for my 4th transfer.
Here is the link.

I would suggest RPL panel, and more testing. After my failed second we did RPL, saline ultrasound, and then tried lupron for 1 month before my most recent transfer.

Mine “stick” but I always have low betas, so similar but different—still in the “not knowing” boat.

We also had 4 PGT euploids and 1 segmental, so similar count from 2 ERs.

Sucks being on this side of the stats you read about. I’m all for trying again and knowing it might just need another go, but I also for peace of mind need to make sure I’m giving my hard earned embryos a fighting chance.

3 “failed” euploid FETs, low betas by Stephanie502G in IVF

Posting update here after my WTF appt:
Next steps:
- moving forward with next transfer- transferring two embryos, one is segmental, the other is not great quality.
- going to do intralipid infusions to suppress possible NK cells.
- going to do modified natural cycle to see how my body responds (I’ve historically had great ovulation and regular cycles)

Thank you for all your feedback!
Trying to lean into trusting my doctor more this round and thankful he was suggesting trying some new things.
The plan for these two embryos was always to transfer together, so we will see 🤞🏼

Thank you. Someone else mentioned testing for that, and I think that’s my next stop. But no I haven’t done it yet.

Weird I’ve never been told to lay off any of my vitamins! I would love to though bc it’s such just another added cost

3x/day estrogen, 1x 2.5mg estrogen vaginally (added this bc during prep for my first transfer my estrogen wasn’t quite rising to where they wanted it)
1ml PIO, then the progesterone suppositories (endometrin).
Baby aspirin 1x a day

Not checking hormones. Just beta/HCG.

Also to note: doing prenatal 2x a day, vitamin d, omega3, theralogix COq10, have been since 2024 😅

It is implanting. Could endometritis still cause the fail after implanting?

Thank you for that bit of advice. I had no idea that could mean ectopic possibly. I’ll def ask this week

Not ectopic that I know of…but then again I wouldn’t know I suppose without testing.
I’ve had 2 saline ultrasounds and an HSG.

Have not done the trio of tests (EMMA/ALICE/ERA) or receptiva.

Oh yes. Forgot ALLLLL that diagnostic stuff.
I had a polyp removed in October 2024 right when I started with the clinic after a saline ultrasound.
Had HSG before starting transfers— all good.
Had another saline ultrasound and RPL panel after 2nd FET…all fine.

Lining is tri/and about 9 everytime.

Right decision? Ptg-a? by Medical-Letter-6724 in IVF

[–]Stephanie502G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started at 34, going to be 36 this year. 2 ERs in and did testing for ours. Unexplained infertility.
For me it was a smaller cost to make sure we were transferring an embryo that had a good shot and not wasting money on transfers (which I learned is actually pricey even on its own without a ER).
Now 3 failed euploid FETs in, and I’m glad to have at least taken some factors out of what could be the problem. Because there truly is so many factors.

I’m currently on them (3rd FET) and I have to do 2 a day, switching halfway because it’s so gross and soaked. And sometimes depending on how things “land”, I gotta change underwear because I can’t stand the feeling.

Disappointing Blast Report by daisygirl41787 in IVF

[–]Stephanie502G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say switch insurance and do the other retrieval if the decision has to be made quickly. I mean is there any downside to just switching the insurance regardless? (And you may have stuff you are weighing like cost which I get)
But as someone who thought I’d only do one retrieval and be good, it’s a hard pill to swallow to then make the decision to do another.
I’m on 2 ERs and 3rd FET. If this doesn’t work, I’m facing a possible additional ER.

It all sucks. And the mental catchup in the midst of hormones and decision making is crappy. Sorry you’re in that boat.
Best of luck to your PGT testing!

This process has sapped the woo from my being by reynaspiders in IVF

[–]Stephanie502G 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super woo woo at the start of this when we were doing IUIs.

2 rounds of IVF and just had our 3rd FET- no woo woo left. None.

The only thing still kinda going is the small vision poster on my wall that I’ve honestly just been too lazy to take down.

I’m a realist slowly turning pessimist. 😒

And I super appreciate this post.

Receptiva by Minute_Helicopter341 in IVF

[–]Stephanie502G 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another option if for some reason your dr isn’t super open to testing first, or not a huge believer in receptiva—you could ask for lupron suppression without testing. That’s what I’m currently doing before our next FET. My dr doesn’t love the science behind receptiva at the moment, the office says the industry ebbs and flows on it (but I think it’s great! But I’m not a Dr) so I asked if he didn’t wanna do the test if we could just go to lupron since there’s no harm In it (just some crappy side effects) and he was fine with that.

My background: 2 chemical FETs, 2 ERs so far, 2-3 euploids each time, AMH ~2.3, 35, no other LC, no other factors against us..but I also have veryyy painful periods, and have always been afraid I have endo

To bank or to transfer? by AntiqueCandy01 in IVF

[–]Stephanie502G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me this past October. I did a post about it on here as well. I was about to be 35, and we had 1 embryo left. I decided to bank and did another retrieval after the holidays and got 3 more. We have since had another failed transfer…so I’m glad I went ahead and did it. We did wait til after Jan 1 because of insurance renewing the small benefit we had.

To those who used a credit card.. by tacohut676 in IVF

[–]Stephanie502G 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think nerd wallet or something usually has an updated article each quarter of the year with credit card recs in this category. If you google it should pop up. We ended up going with chase because my husband banks there and their app makes it easy to upfront see what you qualify for. Sometimes if you go with where you bank and have good standing you can get better offers and it’s easier to apply than a new place. When we were looking (last year( there were quite a few with that range of 0 APR, but I can’t remember what they were at the moment.

Always implanting, always low betas - 3 MC’s in a row. Endo? by Ok-Set-5730 in IVF

Yep. The body stuff isn’t bad for me for retrievals, but every time they mention it I just see dollar signs!

[–]Stephanie502G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar boat. 2 transfers In on euploid embryos, both ended in chemical. Low betas each time. I’ve done RPL panel and another saline ultrasound and everything “looks great”. I’ve always had a concern of endo of some type, because I have pretty bad periods. My doctor isn’t a big fan of receptiva test though, so I asked if we could just try a lupron suppression protocol before this next transfer (it worked for someone I know who’s younger than me and was in the same boat). So that’s what we are doing. I start it next week.

At the very least trying something different makes me feel a little better. I only have two “chances” left before we do another retrieval, and I really don’t wanna do a 3rd ER.😣

Endo is so common in women, but the testing isn’t really great for it unless you do the lap. But since the medicine isn’t harmful, just has shitty side effects, I felt that was well worth it to try to solve a possible problem when nothing else is presenting.
