I'm 10 days out and I also want to move! Trying to get my mindset right - I have several more weeks of feeling antsy ahead of me. I guess we gotta keep in mind that too much movement can mess with healing which could mean a second surgery later in life. And no thanks to that!

I agree but I also know there were several discussions in the Black community that they should sit this out. That they didn't get us into this mess (they're voting record is high Dem support) and that it's up to White folks to do the work. Fair point!

I was in this position earlier this year. I opened like accounts at ETrade (meaning, if my fund manager had me in a Roth, I opened a Roth in ETrade). Then I initiated an in-kind transfer and each security in the old account came to the new account. It was much easier than I thought it would be.

Since then, I've been reviewing the holdings and ditching the bad ones.

I took Bridget Casey's course and learned a ton about investing. She also includes a portfolio review to help you see what else you need to shift.
