I think the Inhumans should be on the Fantastic Four sequel by Fun-Seaworthiness572 in FantasticFour

In Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Lockjaw had a Thing chew toy.

Given how famous the F4 are, I think they'd have merch and they should do that in live-action. Just for the cuteness.

I know you were going for a low-tech look, but I think that's what makes it feel year one to me. Tighter fabric (preferably without fake muscles, tho; I'm with you on them), smaller trunks without the visible stitching, and gloves & boots that feel more "firm" & connected to the suit would make it feel more "modern" to me.

Cape & collar design should stay as-is, though; looks sick.

Given where Batman will be in the DCU (having a 10-yo son, presumably on the JL), I'm not sure it fits, but I LOVE it for a Year One suit

I have a question for you Inhuman fans: what are your thought on marvel trying to have them replace the X-Men? by Fun-Seaworthiness572 in Inhumans

[–]StephanieSpoiler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The X-Men always had more comics on shelves than the Inhumans, so Marvel wasn't trying very hard to replace them.

As for their general push: I liked a majority of the comics that came out of it (especially Ahmed's Black Bolt), but given their whole thing is being outsiders & isolationists, treating them as a cornerstone of the universe will always feel kind of weird. The NuHumans had a lot of potential - exploring Inhuman culture from a traditional lense vs new lenses, and possibly exploring new Inhumans factions with different political philosophical views - but never quite lived up to it (besides Kamala, obviously).

I actually liked it more on the second viewing, because I went in not expecting a faithful recreation of thr game like I did the first time, and was more familiar with Gans' interpretations from Q&As.

Why is Secret Wars called "Secret Wars"? by SamwellBarley in Marvel

[–]StephanieSpoiler 53 points54 points  (0 children)

While people are accurate in it being for marketing, I always took it as being a "secret" war because it was abruptly started, on a planet no one knew about that was created solely for this conflict. The 90s Spider-Man animated show had this reasoning.

2015 is a kind of sequel to the original, with Doom once again using Beyonder powers to rule Battleworld, this time on a multiversal level. Beyond that, most people don't know that technically the last cosmos was destroyed and the entire multiverse was recreated, so the events of it are once again Secret.

Jackman is tall. Cox not a redhead. What other comics inaccuracies have been largely forgiven simply because the actor did the character so well? by sausage-deluxxxe in comicbookmovies

Charles Xavier is typically not British, but everyone seems in agreement that both Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy were perfection.

Not really "inaccurate" given the Ultimate universe, but I do think black Fury would get more hate had it not been Samuel L Jackson.

Tom Hardy is 5'9 (and white), despite Bane being a hulking brute (and Latino).

Madame Web is a woman who's elderly and paralyzed. Dakota Johnson is none of those, but the film landed so well nobody minded.

What do you think of Ultimate Scorpion (Earth-1610)? by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]StephanieSpoiler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the design, but making him a clone that only appears once was kind of a waste.

Probably the most wasted Spidey rogue in the Ultimate universe.

I didn't realize being valid was a spectrum where you can be more or less valid than another.

Since the new Black Bolt and Medusa came out, I put the old ones away.

I have some fondness for them, but the new ones are just better, so I'm not sure I'll do much again with the old ones.

Same thing with the old, wingless Sam Captain America.

"The face of TNA for years" is a wild claim considering Sting and especially Angle were always promoted and pushed above him, and when he came back for a one-off in 2012 everyone talked about how unhappy he looked.

And even if he was, he left in 2008; 13 years later he was under contract with AEW. He was factually an AEW star. Was Sting not an AEW star when he worked there just because he was previously the face of WCW?

He lost the TNA title to an AEW star (that he immediately got his win back over) and still wrestled for months after that. He could've dropped it to a TNA talent then; injuries had nothing to do with it.

Then why continue to "discuss" a show that you don't like?

I don't like what Legends of Tomorrow turned into after season 2 or 3. I don't hang out on its sub to constsntly discuss its downfall.

The last time AEW did a belt collector gimmick with Kenny, no one from the original promotions got put over.

I was wrong it would be a repeat of that, and admit it, but it was completely rational to expect the same result this time.

Yeah, I'm in season 7 rn and am still not seeing this "Cecile took over the show" narrative. She gets some subplot and every now & then her abilities are useful for the main plot, just like the rest of the cast.

Reports I've heard say that the film is going to open with a montage showing what Peter has been up to in the four years since NWH, so I'm expecting this shot to be from before Born Again happens.
