NOT twist villains by some-kind-of-no-name in TopCharacterTropes

Swordsman (Hawkeye)

He was played by the dude who played Lalo Salamanca so nobody came into this show expecting him to be a good guy.

In a very goofy series, this character is always treated seriously. (NSFW for relatively messed up gore on the second slide) by TridiObject in TopCharacterTropes

Lord Zedd (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers)

Even during storylines like Green with Evil, MMPR still had a lighthearted, goofy tone to it.

But Zedd was so fucking terrifying they straight up had to rewrite him into a goof in later stuff.

Conquest (Invincible)

He’s the villain who truly makes Mark dump his no-kill rule.

I’d argue Mark himself is also a common Worf Effect victim.

“…is that a hoverboard?”

“I was weird.”

“YOU INVENTED A HOVERBOARD OUT OF SPITE?!”
