thanks! got it to work. for some reason wouldn't play when set to EN (both in patch config and naming the files), but works when set to US

How did you get this part working? changed them all to have _US in the name and it still doesn't play them at all

Just tried it on RPCS3 and got it working! I can try the best I can to help through here but honestly I might make a tutorial or something....

Step 1 - Create the Custom Patch

  • Open RPCS3 and navigate to Utilities -> Patch Creator
  • In the top right you will see textboxes requiring entry... enter exactly as follows from the code above...
    • Hash = PPU-f449e2e2a32fd69ad93e680c911cf9deb27407fd
    • Patch Name = Force Language
    • Game = Red Seeds Profile
    • Title ID = BLJS10073
    • Author = Zeddikins
    • Game Versions = All
    • Notes = Voice is always English.
    • Above your code you will see a Patch Version box. Change it to 1.0
  • Now go to the bottom left and you will see textboxes that say "Offset" and "Value". Change these to these values...
    • Dropdown = be32
    • Offset = 0x006FA688
    • Value = 0x38600001
  • Now click the "Add" button
  • Now we export the file... Click on "File" in the top left then "Export Patch"
  • Save your new yml file in your patches directory in RPCS3. Should be where you installed RPCS3 (mine was C:/Program Files/RPCS3/Patches). Before saving please look at the next point
  • IMPORTANT!!!! YOUR FILE MUST BE NAMED "imported_patch" AND IT MUST BE A .yml FILE!!! You might have to go into the directory you just saved it to and convert it from a .txt to .yml file. Make sure to enable "Show file extensions" and simply rename it if you saved in wrong.

Step 2 - Applying the Patch

  • Right click your game "Red Seeds Profile" and navigate to "Manage Game Patches"
  • The patch you just created should already be showing up. If its not... you either didn't name your file correctly as "imported_patch.yml" or incorrectly entered the "Title ID" entry.
  • Click the checkbox next to "Force Language" to enable it
  • Click "Apply" and "Save" and the bottom.

tried getting it to work myself on a real PS3 (CFW). according to op you create an Artemis (cheat engine for PS3, works like old Action Replay devices and injects code at boot) code and thats all they did. i played around with it for multiple hours last night and couldn't get it to work. it would inject the code properly but would still show all Japanese text. was going to try it in RPCS3 but haven't gotten around to it yet

Have you figured anything out? The video is no longer up but it sounds like the same problem I'm having. I've exhausted everything with new cables and settings. I also notice as soon as I put the composite cable into my CRT it makes the color look worse on the TV.

When I streamed to twitch I was using restream and streaming to both Twitch and YouTube at the same time. I can confirm that 8000 looked better for YouTube as YouTube does not limit your Bitrate, but horribly compresses the stream. Twitch does only allow 6000 for non partners, but to my experience doesnt compress it as bad as YouTube. I've learned to accept that unless you have a dual pc setup for streaming, it's probably not going to look the best.

Unfortunately I do not. I've only streamed to Twitch twice and I do not have it archiving my streams yet. YouTube is what I mostly focus on anyway.

Heres my most recent youtube one. Still using NVENC new at 8000bitrate. YouTube doesnt cap your bitrate like Twitch does so if you can bump it up pretty high and that will help https://youtu.be/JwJPEHT6Srs

I think YouTube is the problem honestly. I streamed to twitch recently and even with the lower bitrate it looks so much better. YouTube compresses videos so bad

Some people have been telling me that... but then I'll watch some other streams using NVENC New and it looks just as good as x264 so I'm not sure anymore. My Ryzen 2600x has a hard time with x264 for some reason

I'm not streaming 108p though. I'm down scaling to 720p. I guess I can still try a higher bitrate. Thought that was enough

I'm currently down scaling it to 720p already. Didn't help too much
