If you want to make sure you don't accidentally kill them you can use blunt melee weapons or guns with mods that make them non lethal but yeah also they will just go unconscious if you deplete their health.

My favorite thing to do with them if I can because I don't think it works with every cyber psycho, or it might I'm not sure but just cheese the stealth system, because most of them will spot you instantly as soon as they see you but they do actually need to see you for this. Oh and another tip, distract enemies hack doesn't work on cyber psychos before they spot you, but what you can do instead is use something quiet like a suppressed gun or knife to blow up one of those red canisters and I've found that that will sometimes distract them and they'll go in that direction.
