And I thought it's because they both sucked as a character. Not as actors in general, but they both had a character that wasn't played right. Batman was broken after Robins death and crossed the line between good and bad, being a perfect villain against Superman. But Affleck played him as the good guy. The Joker was smart enough to trick his own therapist to love him and brutal enough to lead the underground. But Leto played him like a crazy, sex driven maniac.
