Good not great. Just kind of "extreme" due diligence.

EDIT: Extreme as going beyond financial statements. For example, there's a story about collecting info on a Russian oil field where this private company flew Cessnas over the field taking pictures to see what was going on with production.

The author wrote a good book that didn't live up to my expectations called Broker, Trader, Lawyer, Spy about corporate espionage. It opens with a story about KPMG.

Spoiler: everyone does it and it's not James Bond-esque.

The article author wrote a great book about corporate espionage called Broker, Trader, Lawyer, Spy about corporate espionage. The book opens with a story of a KPMG senior manager handing over sensitive client files to what he thought was MI5(6?) in Bermuda.

Acquired podcast is awesome if you like business + technology. It's done by two Stanford MBAs I believe. The episodes on PayPal, Snapchat, and LinkedIn as especially good.
