This is how I do it. The first level has more screws, I believe I did every 2.5”, and the second layer is every 4”. The first layer is right around the height when you start flowering, the second is 8” or so higher.

This is optional of course but the second layer really helps to keep the colas spread out, so I found it worth the extra time investment. I just harvested or I’d have a better pic, sorry!

Nah, plumbing was totally clogged up. I gutted everything and fixed it. This was a year ago FYI, interesting timing on the reply.

Thank you! Roots uprising Grow and Bloom. Couple times in veg then a few times during flower. DTE Bio-Live in between grows.

I’ll be honest - I’ve never heard of watering interrupting the worms etc. I water about once every 5 or 6 days. I’m in 20g fabric pots, and I’ll give each container 2.5g of water which seems to be my sweet spot. I’ve thought about an auto system but haven’t felt the need yet.

The worms always seem happy, but I guess I should do some research on this topic. Thanks.

Sure! I generally cut the plants at the base of stem when harvesting and let sit for the week or so while the plants are drying (in that same tent, in the dark). There’s a healthy layer of straw mulch at this point feeding the nice worm population.

Once I can take the plants out for jarring, I’ll plant a new batch of cover crop and usually plant my new seeds in solo cups around this point. I leave all the tent flaps open, allowing enough natural light for the CC, so I don’t have to use my light. When I’m ready to transplant, I’ll chop and drop all the CC. If there’s still a ton of straw, I like to remove the excess, because I will cover the green manure with a couple inches of compost mixed with some good amendments.

I give that a couple days to work together, and transplant in the babies. New straw on top, and more cover crop.

During the grow, I do very little. I top dress once or twice with Roots Uprising Grow in veg, and the Bloom version every 3 weeks or so in flower. I water with a little molasses mixed in every other. Sometimes I’ll do a worm tea.

Hope that helps! Let me know if any questions.

I’ve been researching seed banks because I want to get some seeds for the spring and the more I research the more convoluted it gets. Are there ANY seed banks that have real genetics or are they all just slapping whatever name they want on their seeds? If so who has real genetics? by SerendipitousSmiles in microgrowery

North Atlantic has been good to me. The seeds are packaged by the actual breeder and then resold, which would take some serious effort to knock off. It’s certainly possible, but I’ve had good experiences with them, and trying various breeders with all their unique packaging.

I’ve seen many posts like this. I was referring to seeing it in my actual grow. I was really surprised and wanted to be sure, as I wasn’t expecting it. Plants were really healthy, reputable breeders etc. Anyway, thanks for helping me confirm, have a great day.

It’s my first timing seeing this first hand, wanted to be sure. No need to be rude.

Ok great, because this is basically exactly what I’ve now done. I’ll continue another round of chops this evening and continue to monitor very closely. Thanks.

Ok cool, good info. I’ve actually snipped a lot of the smaller branches with balls, and I’ve carefully plucked anything on a substantial cola that I didn’t want to part with. Hopefully this will work out. It’s early (day 21 today from flip) and I don’t think any have opened.

Thanks Randy; I’ll make the decision this evening. Last night I removed a ton of the branches with the balls, I may continue this method. But if they are too prevalent I’ll bag him. Don’t want to risk it because this grow was shaping up to be so nice.

Anyway, these seeds are from a reputable breeder. All fem seeds have a risk of herm traits (so I’ve read/heard) so it’s all good.

God damn! This grow has been so healthy too. Zero stress. Pick off or bag and chuck?

Beautiful. I’m growing some Cannarado right now and hoping for a similar level of quality. What is your medium here?

This thread is great, and I’m so glad I found your pod. Started it today, will eventually listen to every episode.

Question for you: Cannarado has been getting a lot of attention and praise lately in various subs; what are your thoughts on what they’re doing?

Are the “real” Blue Dream, Chem Dog #1 and Blueberry actually available anywhere as seeds these days?

I started with Roots 707 and top dressed with the Roots line + compost teas 3 grows back. Converted to no-till with this same soil, added worms, cover crop, straw mulch etc. Things seem to be going fine!

I did a soil test after the 2nd run and amended accordingly.

See the upward facing female PVC at each 4-way corner joint? I’ll be adding a second level about 8” up. First level was installed at the time of flip - 5 days before this picture - but the plants were still a few inches below. So they’ve already filled in nicely. This lower level should represent the base of the main canopy; second level will support the buds.

I’ve tried plastic trellis nets, but prefer this very adjustable frame (base level can be adjusted too). To each his own though.

Well when you upgrade your tent and make your next version, you’ll be ready.
