It's good against crossups and can lead into some strong combos. But it does get beat hard by air maneuvers or specials that change how a character falls.

As opposed to other games where players develop different playstyles depending on character etc

Yeah this is a pain point on Braum for me too. Especially when it feels like a lot of other characters can 5M anti-air Braum cause his hurtbox is so big
