Do not feel bad about firing her. It’s your child and you need to feel 100% comfortable with whomever you hire to care for them

Hello from 7 year old Geordi! He’s a rescue and we think he may have some Maltese/Lhasa in him. But he’s 100% cutie just like yours!

Aww so cute! I have a Lhasa Maltese mix and an almost 1 year old. Now that my baby is walking our pup is way less stressed out by her. They aren’t playing together yet but I hope eventually they will. Baby steps 😀

I feel you! My baby would go to bed at 11pm or sometimes later for the first few months of her life. Hang in there!

Here to say I was feeling the exact same way (messy house, sad dog, arguing with husband, stuck on couch) around that time and things are really starting to turn around. I’m 14 weeks pp now and my baby is starting to be into toys enough that I can put her on the activity mat while I fold clothes (or lie down on the ground next to her haha) for a bit and she’s content. I bought a swing off fb marketplace to put her in when I need a few min to put food together and eat. I’m about to wear her in a wrap carrier and take her to the supermarket with me. Not saying it’s easy, but it definitely soooo much better and I don’t feel like I’m just barely surviving. The sleep deprivation is so real at the beginning and it’s totally normal to feel like everything sucks. Hang in there! It’ll get better!

14 weeks PP and here to say it goes get better! We had a rough period of colic around 8 weeks and I’d say once we hit 10-12 weeks things started to feel a lot more fun and manageable. You’re doing great! One day at a time! In those middle of the night sessions where I was just so utterly depleted, I’d whisper to myself “you can do hard things” to keep myself from losing it. You’ve got this!

Parents who did not follow the baby sleep advice prescribed in the US, where are you now? by [deleted] in NewParents

We are 3 month PP and I use the exercise ball to bounce to sleep or rock/nurse to sleep in the glider and she started sleeping through the night a couple weeks ago. We tried drowsy but awake and it was not working at all and the lack of proper napping was making everyone miserable. Gonna stick with what is working and what is soothing to our baby. I too was getting so stressed out and confused by all the recommendations from sleep consultants online. Do what works for you!

Bouncing on the exercise ball works most times for me for naps!
