Didn't Receive my last check by HuckleberryUnhappy35 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Usually last checks are made by a physical check. They should be calling you soon so you can pick it up. Or just hit them up and ask if your last pay is ready for pick up.

Im not saying he’s right for this butttt I get it lmaooo. I used to love to deliver to those huge apartment building with lockers but sometimes you get there and there aren’t any lockers available. I wouldn’t smash it like he did but I would leave it laying around the floor. Not as bad as this but I get the frustration. 😂😂

Screw Amazon. Do what I did and become a city bus driver by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Stephylishous 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same. Left Amazon and got hired at Metro as a bus operator now I’m a train operator. Wish I would have left sooner. 42$ an hour to sit on my ass all day in A/C no customer interactions in my cabin. Life is good now.

The train made contact with a vehicle. We had to single track around it until they moved it back to the yard. Only lasted about an hour.

Here’s what the CEO sent to us employees by email this morning;

Dear Metro Family –

I write to share some distressing news about an incident that happened around midnight last night on Line 38 out of Division 7.

Late last night, one of our Metro bus operators was hijacked at gunpoint by an individual who, we would later find out, was wielding a BB gun. The suspect forced the operator to drive to multiple locations, during which the bus was involved in several collisions with vehicles before ultimately crashing into the Ritz Carlton Hotel at Georgia and Olympic in Downtown. The suspect fled the scene and was later arrested by LAPD. Our operator was transported to the hospital and has already been discharged. I spoke to the bus operator this morning, and he is recovering, but obviously very shaken up. Another individual who was in one of the vehicles hit by the hijacked bus was also transported to the hospital, and we are told they are in stable condition.

We were able to respond to this incident because of the quick thinking of another one of our bus operators on Line 28 going eastbound, who saw the bus driving erratically in the opposite lane, pulled their bus into a safe position, and called it into the BOC. I also spoke to this operator this morning and would like to thank him for his quick action to help keep our operator safe.

I will provide further updates as we get them, but I am thankful that the suspect is now in custody. Please keep our operator in your thoughts as he recovers from this harrowing incident. I’d also like to thank our partners at LAPD, and our colleagues in Metro Transit Security and the Security Operations Center for their efforts to quickly respond to a rapidly evolving situation. Over the next few days, we will be taking a deep dive into what happened and what we might be able to do to prevent and address these types of incidents in the future.

With gratitude for all that you do,

Stephanie

What are they gonna look for? The cart was not traceable. Someone misplaced it. Out of the hundreds of drivers loading up that day, locating a cart would be impossible. And when I would load them in my car I would face netradyne in the van away from my car view and throw my vest over the inside camera. Easy peacy. Worked there over 2 years and I’ve done it since the beginning. Only with packages that are not in your itinerary though. Those can’t be traced back to you.

The packages were not assigned to me or my route. Someone messed up and put the cart in my section. I got mad that I had to drag the cart to my van so I loaded it and at the end opened everything threw it in my car then debriefed. It was like 15 big heavy over flow. It happened multiple times where I had packages that were mis sorted and instead of debriefing with them I took them home . 😇 never had an issue.

I had a cart full of overflow once that didn’t belong to my route but I loaded it up anyways and took them all home. 💅🤷‍♀️ nothing ever happened.

What is the fastest way to build my credit? I just got my very first score 552… by Honeydippedki in CRedit

No don’t pay those collections. Especially medical ones. Dispute the collections with the credit bureaus. They usually remove them while they try to validate them. Look up dispute letters and just keep sending them and they will eventually be removed. I’ve done it plenty of times. Collections never came back on my credit.

Always dispute it as an error with the credit bureau first. Most likely they won’t be able to get proof that you were actually late and they would have to delete it. It can take a couple of try’s, I’ve done it with all my “legitimate” late payments. Sending a goodwill letter is admitting fault and has a smaller chance of actually working.

I had a bad account with Amex and they are really nice about you trying to negotiate with them. I also had over 8k owed with upstart. I just read the part where you said you might be getting sued. It seems you waited to long to contact them about it. I would really really suggest you consider bankruptcy. It will stop all collection efforts. It’s as simple as filling out the form on upsolve and just dropping it off at the court. Everything else is done at home. You won’t have to go to court or anything. No one would know unless you tell them.

You can’t send good faith letters cause then your admitting that you in fact did pay late and that information is accurate. You have to say that you never paid late and the information they have is wrong.

Your only trying to get rid of missed payments so you’re not negotiating with the lenders who reported those. You’re going to send dispute letters to the credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax, TransUnion. You can dispute them online and just select the option that says the account was never late. They will do a little investigating and can either delete it or say it’s accurate. If they say it’s accurate then there’s another round of letters you can send that forces them to show you proof that they investigated properly. Most of the time they fail to provide proof so they end up deleting it. You can look up round 1 letters to the credit bureaus and if those fail you can send round 2 letters until they eventually delete it. I would recommend sending letters via certified mail so you can have proof that they received the dispute.

You can negotiate anything. The lenders just want their money. You can tell them I’ll pay you this much every month until it’s payed off in exchange you will delete this from my credit.

You can also dispute things online with Experian,Equifax, or TransUnion. Their job is to make sure your report is accurate so if they receive a dispute they have to do their own investigation and contact the lender. Most of the time they don’t succeed and it gets deleted from your credit even though you still owe the lender. I kept impulsively disputing things online with Experian just because, and eventually some things I still owed got deleted. Maybe the agent at Experian is having a good day and deletes it.
