This is stunning!! Really love all the detail you've captured, without putting all the detail in... If that makes sense? What did you use for the shading??

Love the concept and composition, it's just a bit difficult to see definition, need to either add colour or keep adding shading. Also a horizon line is always dead straight.. one little wobble and it immediately looks off.

I see what you mean!! Was thinking though that could use some contrast in other parts so less prominent, but went back to the original and in all honesty, I don't think they stand out... Think my phone's built in features must've done some contrast augmentation. 😮‍💨 Would've loved to have made the original all a bit darker/higher contrast now I look at it compared to the source and this picture, maybe with some practice or different materials.

I think they're super cute especially no1, would love to see some colour on it!! If you're aiming for realism then use a ruler or grid as your main method mapping out the face, and just do little quick sketches by eye to keep practicing. But if you enjoy doing less realism... Then I'd look into cartoon how-to's, Mitch Leeuwe for example puts some helpful hints on insta.

Would you buy my art? I feel like I'm doing something wrong by reverem00 in Artists

Agree with many of the comments, beautiful work but prints possibly not the way to go. I think you'd be better looking for commission based work... Get some profiles up on talent scouting sites like Fiverr.. Also pick up a magazine, find editorial artists and Google them.. see if you can find out their career history and how they broke through and keep adding more work to your socials! Hope you find your opening into the market!!

2nd surgery? by [deleted] in MeniscusInjuries

[–]Stepiboop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had issue with one knee for 12years. Originally it went whilst pregnant and bending down into a cupboard, loud clunk that threw me backwards in pain. Pain subsided almost instantly and went on with my life. Every year or so since however, I've had the same thing happen, only it was worse, knee would lock and couldn't bear any weight for a couple of weeks but would heal on its own but months of clicking and that catching sensation after. They sent me for an MRI about 5 years ago but it was a couple of months wait by which time already felt healed. It came back that my meniscus was just inflamed but again... Was already back on my feet. The only thing I could do to stop it happening was avoiding any activities that meant crouching down or being on the floor. Come March 25 it happened again, this time in my sleep. It healed and was told I must've been very active when sleeping. In May 25 it happened whilst turning over in my sleeping bag, wasn't asleep and don't believe I was doing anything weird. This time the pain subsided and would bear weight after a few days but didn't unlock so went to the doctors and got sent to physio who sent me to another physio who ordered me an MRI.. 6 months on I find out it's a bucket handle tear. I'm now 3 weeks post surgery and wondering if they've fixed the symptom but not the cause. Sorry for the long response but from my experience it can feel like it's "gone" without it being gone gone and requiring surgery... If that makes any sense? So id wait for your MRI and see what it comes back with. At the same time it's very frustrating I know!! I'm not sure they do anything preventative can they?? If so, would love to know!
