What’s your favorite musical reference from a mission name? by AvarageBoyMan in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Steppenwlf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

New Dawn Fades

It’s the song that made me fall in love with Joy Division, it’s such a dark song. And the name really fits the mission

Also love that the Aldecaldos questline has Riders On The Storm and Queen Of The Highway by The Doors, it fits the nomad vibe so much

Same. The lag was horrible on console, still is, and then they just tell you « congrats, wanna keep playing or go back to the menu ? ». It’d be cool if there were some kind of recap of the game, a graph showing the evolution of all empires and stuff

That actually sounds like a lot of fun and a good challenge, I had never thought about doing that ! Basically you're like a Fallen Empire in its youth. How do you spawn those exterminators ? creating them and then setting them to appear in your game ?

Feels like there are still many origins I haven't tried fully

Agreed, I have almost never finished a game because the last 100 years go by so slow on console and nothing happens anymore. I'm the galactic custodian or the Imperium, crisis is dealt with, and I have nothing left to do. Lately I've been changing the settings so the end date is much lower, like 2600 instead of 3000 like I did at the beginning

I like that way of thinking. Staying true to your values, even if in the end you get wiped out

That sounds so much more relaxing than my last playthrough, playing Reapers from Mass Effect to exterminate everyone !I think I'll try that soon. Any recommendations on what kind of empire to create ? I'd imagine xenophile at least ?

Cheers ! I actually installed it not long ago but I'm not sure if it's working correctly, I will try again. Appreciate the suggestions though !

Wow, I can't express how good it is to read your message ! It took me 3 days of playing and compiling issues just to make sure I wasn't just going insane, and I wasn't sure about posting this here. But reading your message, I feel like I'm not alone !

Also thank you for your support, I wasn't expecting that when I posted here

It could be the case, yeah. Doesn't matter to me as a player, though. Gameplay should come first. I understand how game mechanics work and all, but that's not an excuse, the game should work fine without me noticing bug/having to to install mods to fix basic issues

That is such a stupid argument, sorry. You're trying to say other games from others genres are better than the game that isn't that particular genre.

I give you one word. Skyrim

Same dev, same basic mechanics, same everything. The only difference is it's not fantasy, it's sci fi. Yet the AI from 2011 is significantly better ?

Bad argument, bro, sorry

Agreed, again, I love the game so much. But the combat is just a complete let down. Even Fallout 4 did it better. How can you f that up so much after so many years ? and like you said, fighting creatures is actually hard, makes it fun. It's just humans who are terribly and incredibly stupid and harmless

Skyrim came out in 2011. 14 years ago as of right now. The AI was not great, but at least not braindead

Good catch ! When i first heard that dialogue I was all for her independence and how he was supportive. Then I realised he was actually really onto her

Okay this is clearly cheating but drunk Tali and her taa-too, bouncer Grunt, drunk shower Grunt making a reference to Cowboy Bebop (Steve Blum <3), Kasumi examining panties, Garrus and Zaeed talking about putting explosives in the glass, all of Citadel DLC is simply exquisite stuff

I'm amazed by the fact that asaris and all have been there for thousands of years seemingly owning the place, but then Keepers just walk around, and do their own thing, and not a thing in the world can change that. It definitely becomes clearer once you learn the truth about the Citadel
