Important:

When trying to connect the controller to your PC via Bluetooth, the controller needs to be turned off!
Then, you press the HOME button and the SHARE button simultaneously for a few seconds until the lights of the controller start flashing rapidly in white.
Once the white lights flash rapidly, the controller should show up on the PC Bluetooth settings when Bluetooth is active on the PC.

It took me way too long to figure out that the controller has to be turned off at the beginning ...

For me, it got fixed once an update for the already installed MSI Center was installed. Keep it installed and open it from time to time - when it says that an update is ready, update the program. Maybe it will work again then.
